Sorry that I have been a poor blogger lately. Ever since Hudson began to crawl spending time at the computer is not very easy to come by.
Well, I need some advice from all you moms out there!
1). Hudson is not a good napper...never has been. He sleeps great at night (and it is easy to put him down), but during the day it is a totally different story. Well, now that he is so active he WEARS himself out to the point he will fall asleep in his highchair, carseat, exersaucer...BUT NOT HIS BED!! I try and set some sort of routine for a nap: close the blinds, turn on some music, and sing to him but once I put him in his bed he starts crying. I will leave him alone in bed and he will cry and talk then cry again then talk...and NEVER go to sleep. So pretty much I get a worn out fussy boy that won't take a nap for the rest of the day. I don't know what else to do!
2). We are going to Maui in May (YEAH!!!) sooo I am starting to wean Hudson from the breast to sippy cup because we are leaving Hudson with my family while we are away. Pretty much I have NO clue what I am doing in the weaning situation, and really need some help from anyone who has ANY helpful advice. It is way harder than I thought it would be. But really he has to be totally weaned by the end of the month. (at least that is my goal).
So if any of you have any tips for anything that I listed PLEASE feel free to comment, email, or call! I really am desperate for suggestions. Thank you soo much!

Well in my expert opinion...I have found that...kidding! Good luck with all that:)
ReplyDeleteI have the same nap problem with Jackson! He likes to nap in his bouncy seat, but he is too big now. Sometimes I just let him cry himself to sleep at naptime. I am such a meanie! Let me know if you get any good advice. Also, I never breastfed Jackson, so I have no advice there. Jackson likes his sippy cup, but all he ever drinks from there is pear juice and water.
ReplyDeleteHi Allison!
ReplyDeleteIt's Ashley (Bruner, but its Lee now!) and I found your blog through Chelsie's! I have loved looking at the pictures of your precious boy! I saw that you're going to Maui this summer. YOU WILL LOVE IT! We spent 7 days there this past June for our honeymoon. Would love to hear where you're staying and all! :) Wish I had some good advice for your Mommy problems, but good luck with it! :)
Hello friend, Did you get my email about K4 and CT? Just wondering:)!
ReplyDeleteI have no advice, because Carley is so little. The book "Secrets of teh Baby Whisperer" details Tracey's method. That book has been very helpful to me. It has a chapter about weaning in it too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck. If you get the answers, post them
