We had a wonderful holiday break. It was so great having Matt home for 2 weeks. Hudson and I were 2 happy campers. We went to Tyler for Christmas, and it was perfect. We had such a good time. I always love going home to be with my family for Christmas. Mom out-did herself with decorations and gifts. We had a good time sending time with my dad, Shelley, my grandmother, aunt, uncle, and cousin. Everyone gave Hudson some really cool gifts. He loved them all. Lets see Hudson got a basketball goal, huge inflatable soccer goal and soccer ball, miniature go cart, a home depot truck, lots of books and puzzles, blocks....pretty muck WAY to much for an 18 month old, but he is thrilled to have it all. Christmas we actually spent more time filming everything that we did not take as many pictures as I would have liked. I am glad we have it all on video tho. I'll have to try and be better juggling the 2 cameras.
After Christmas we came home for the rest of the break and it was great. We had so much fun being together as a family. I could not ask for more. Luckily I have crossed over the "hump" of being sick with this pregnancy and now I feel great. Besides being ready to go to bed at 8:00 every night, I could not feel anymore "normal". Matt's fam came for the day during that week and we had a mini Christmas with them. All Matt and I asked for from everyone was money so we could do stuff to our house. YAY for us! The Friday after Christmas we met Hudson's Mini in Decatur and gave them Hudson for the weekend. Matt and I had a good time spending some of our Christmas money while Hud was away.
New Years weekend we had so much fun!!! Our friends from ACU came to stay the weekend with us. We had Jose, Angie, Ellen, Cris, and Brian all come. We had a blast. We saw movies, cooked out, stayed up late...it was too fun. Matt and I bought an out door fire pit, and so we spent most of our evenings outside by the fire. It was super cold so we had to bundle up in blankets too. It was so fun being out there! New Years Eve we all went to Pappasito's for dinner and then came home to ring in 2007. We had a big party over here and it was a blast. We were outside by the fire most of the time. We had music going and made smores. At midnight Chris proposed to Ellen which was super sweet and made the night even better. It was such an honor for all of us to share that joy with them. We all stayed outside WAYYYY too late. I don't think those boys came in until 4. I had so much fun having a house full of guests. I love being the hostess. I had the house decorated for New Years with balloons and streamers. I also had everyone a party hat and noise maker.... and you HAD to wear it! :) It was the best ending to a great holiday break. We love our friends!
We were soooo ready to have Hudson back after that weekend. We were ready to play, play, play! I had my 13 week check-up last week and everything looks great. I can't believe I am now a little over 14 weeks. It's going fast....lets hope it keeps moving quickly! I can't believe we'll know what we are having next month! We can't wait! We get more and more excited everyday for this little one!!! We have the names chosen. Both names were in the running for when we were pregnant with Hudson. The girl name is the name Hudson would have been if he would have been a girl (which was easy), and the boy name is a name that we have always liked. I just can't wait to be calling this baby by his/her name. Our gut feeling is a girl. Last night I dreamed boy. I don't care at all one way over the other. We just want a healthy baby!!!
Happy 2007 to all my blog friends!!!
