We spent our week working on the house. It still has a way to go (in my eyes), but each week it starts to feel more like home. The weather here has been just perfect, so we spent most our evenings on the front porch watching Hudson play.
Saturday was our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt at the pavilion/park area. It was really fun and there was a great turn-out. Hudson had fun finding eggs and meeting the Easter Bunny. He really loved every second of it. Afterwards we spent the good part of the afternoon at La Cantera. If you EVER come to SA, The Shops at La Cantera is a MUST DO. It's like an outdoor Northpark. Great shopping, restaurants, and atmosphere. We love it. We had lunch at PF CHANGS. It was sooo good. Then we came home and put the kids down for a nap. We kept saying we'd leave when they started acting tired, and 4 hours later we decided it was time to go. Later in the day we decorated eggs and made us a good ol' mess. It was really fun.
Sunday the Easter bunny left lots of goodies in the kids baskets. Of course added in with the goodies was all the gifts sent from the grandparents....just so you know that we did not go and buy all that stuff for Hudson and Harper. Hudson was so excited to see what the Easter bunny brought him. His favorite was probably his new art table and stool along with his Mickey Crocs. Harper was happy watching all the excitement!
We went to church and, hands down, it was one of the BEST Easter services we have ever been to. Amazing. I know that Easter for a lot of people is their "one time a year" to actually go to church, and I know many of them left Sunday planning to return. It was an amazing out-reach to so many. I love when it's a packed crowd.
Sunday afternoon we enjoyed our Sunday naps, and afterwards Hudman hunted eggs in the backyard. What a fun age he is. I love that he actually "gets" all the fun stuff that comes along with holidays.
It was a wonderful week and a great Easter weekend!! We plan on paying Shamu a visit the weekend. Can't wait!!
Here are a MILLION pictures. Starting from the neighborhood Easter egg hunt, decorating eggs, Easter morning, and the egg hunt here.

ReplyDeleteAll your pictures are just TOO cute. Your kids could be little Gap models. I think I have said that before. :) It looks like ya'll had a blast! And don't worry about not getting a pic with Grandma. I ALWAYS do that. I like to think of it as just living in the moment and not trying to make one. :)
ReplyDeleteCute pictures! Is Hudson really into Mickey Mouse these days? Jackson is, and he has Mickey Mouse crocs, too. He often sleeps in them.

ReplyDeleteAllison, Harper looks like such a good natured baby. That is how Reese is, unless she doesn't get her nap out. I can't believe we will have another little girl in just 8 days. The time has really flown by. The kids looked like that had a fun Easter. I haven't been leaving comments because I registered a long time ago and can't remember my password. Finally figured out I could go through the anonymous. Love you guys, Aunt Debbie
