Just what we needed!

We got back last night from a WONDERFUL weekend get-away. It was so relaxing, and just one of those good-for-the-soul type weekends. You can't beat time away with great friends. We went to Lake Brownwood and stayed at the Hackleman family lake house. Crystal, Micah, Jaxon, and Crystal's parents all came from Midland/Odessa. The last time we saw them was in September when Crystal was ready to pop! We FINALLY got to meet the one and only Jaxon Foster! He is every bit the sweet, adorable baby boy I knew he was. It was so much fun to have all of our kids together. Another family joined us there too. Luke, Katie, and their cutie pie baby boy Sawyer. Harper, Sawyer, and Jaxon were all born last year within 3 months of each other. It was so sweet having 3 babies so close in age crawling all over the place. We LOVED Katie and Luke, and felt like we had been friends with them forever. We had a blast. We stayed up late Friday talking and catching up. Saturday we played outside ALL day long. The funny thing was that all 3 babies, and Hud in the afternoon, were ALL on the EXACT schedule. So we really enjoyed ourselves while the kids napped. Saturday we all floated in the lake while they slept. We got great tans too! We went out on the boat Sat and Sunday. Hud and daddy tubed, and Micah and Matt air-chaired. (Matt more or less attempted several times). We had SO much fun at night playing their new Wii. I seriously am an athlete! HA! It was a blast playing it! I think Matt and I want one for Christmas now!! We really had no idea how fun wii's were.

We enjoyed great food, and the BEST of company! Nothing beats great friends that you can pick right up where you left off last. We are blessed with these special families in our lives! The kids were amazing all weekend long. All 4 of them could not have been any better. Hudson and Harper were worn out on our drive home yesterday evening, but it was a good tired. We could not have asked for a better weekend!!

Now we are getting all geared up for our sweet baby girl's first bday on Saturday. I still just cannot believe it. We have house projects planned for the weekend since Matt has Friday off for the 4th. Matt's parents and his cousin's kids are coming on Sunday for the kids bdays, and a fun San Antonio weekend. We have a week of Seaworld fun planned for next week!! Lot's going on, but we are having such a fun summer!!!
