(2 blog entries in one day! Aren't you proud? Scroll down for last week's update!)
It was Spring Break here in San Antonio this week. While the beginning of the week was beautiful Spring weather, it is now SO COLD and raining non-stop since Wednesday. We took advantage of the beautiful weather we did have and spent it outside. Since we only had Harper, we decided for our time to be 'all about Harper'. And it was. We had so much fun with her. We did miss Hudson so much while he was gone, but we knew it was a rare opportunity to focus on Harper and only Harper. We played hard all weekend long. Saturday we decided that we would try out Fiesta Texas. They were having a little promo going on and we have been wanting to go for a while now. We had a great time, and we cannot wait to take Hudson back. Their kiddie rides are super fun. I know he'll love it. Harper was adorable as always, smiling at every person who walked by telling them hi. Fiesta Texas has a new Wiggles area that is really cute. She really had fun running around and just being a 20 month old wild child. I know one thing for sure, Matt and I CANNOT wait to go back by ourselves and ride these roller coasters.
Monday Harper and I met the mommy's and kiddos from our life group (minus one) at Sea World. We had a BLAST. Harper enjoyed it so much and was so good. She is such an easy baby. She loved seeing all the animals, and sat so well during all the shows. She was adorable, and I loved showing her everything. We had a great time on our playdate and look forward to many more fun times with them ahead!!
Tuesday morning Harper and I left for Austin. We stopped and shopped in San Marcus on our way. We spent the afternoon hanging out with Darby. What a treat it was to hang out with her. Harper napped at her place while we caught up. We met Cara and Darb's cousin Kedra at a great mexican restaurant in Georgetown. Then Harper and I went and spent the night at Cara's crib. It was an added bonus to see 2 college friends on our way to get Huddy. Wednesday morning Harper and I left for Waco to pick up Hudson. OH MY, was I ever excited to see him. He had SO MUCH FUN at mini and papa's house. He was lucky because it was his lala's spring break too, so he got some good aunt time in! Once we got Hud, he was Mr. Chatterbox telling us everything. He was so cute. I missed him so much. Harper was thrilled to see him. They even held hands in the back while I drove us home. It rained the entire trip, but it was so good to finally have everyone here under one roof.
It's now just the 4 of us again, and we are SO PUMPED for the weekend together. No plans, but I know it'll be great! Happy Weekend!
I splurged yesterday morning and let them have Chocolate milk (it's normally a Sat. morning thing), and obviously Huddy was enjoying himself since it was all over his face. It's good to have both of them here with me!
I loved reading all of your updates! So glad you gone your Harper-time in, but know it was equally special to have Hudson back home!
ReplyDeleteI loved all your pictures with Harper...but you're right...it's just not complete without Hudson! I am so used to seeing both of them in your posts. I can only imagine how happy you are to have him back again and be with your family of 4! I just love reading your blog! It always makes me anxious and excited to have kiddos of our own! i just hope they turn out as sweet and cute as yours!!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was so good seeing you, even if it was only for a brief moment. We shall do it again soon and for a longer period of time. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the way you write. I can just hear your voice like you are talking directly to me.
ReplyDeleteI love her hair in the bounce. She looks like such a big girl. Of course, Hudman is just as cute as ever. He is such a little Matt with his costumes.
