NEW MOON!!!

Last night the 7 of us went to see New Moon. Let me back up some....earlier in the year we all got sucked into this Twilight Saga together. We passed the books around and became zombies for several weeks. It was great! So there was no question in our minds that we would all be going to see New Moon together. Our tickets were bought almost 2 months ago, so we have been counting down to this night for a while! We got to the theater 2 hours early to get a good spot in line. We wanted to make sure that we all sat together. Those 2 hours were so much fun! We laughed so much and talked until we were nearly out of breath. HA! This theater is right in the middle of shopping and restaurants, so after the movie we went to a restaurant just so we could talk about the movie. I-DID-NOT-GET-HOME-UNTIL 2:30...that's AM people!! This is so unheard of for me because I am usually dozing by 10.

I have to say that each of these girls are such a blessing to me. I remember when we moved here and did not have one single friend here. I can go back and remember my prayers of just pleading for God to please bless me with 1 friend. That was it...well, God went over and beyond and blessed me with these precious girls who I love so dearly. They are fun, witty, full of life, great moms and wives, and are my go-to gals if I ever need anything. It is a community of friends who are invested in one another and that is no doubt God ordained!! Their husbands are just as cool and get along so well too.

People ask if San Antonio is home to us, and the answer is YES!! We love it here. It feels more like home than anywhere we have lived before. I don't think you could ever get us to leave!! But San Antonio did not feel like home until we met all these wonderful people. I am so thankful for these friendships because after college I find that new strong and lasting friendships are hard to come by!!

  1. I knew you would blog about your Twilight experience, but I didn't expect to cry while reading it. I'm so thankful that you have great Christian friends, and I know they are glad to have you, too. I like being able to see what they all look like now but need to put their kids names with their faces.

What we do without our close friends? I love having them in different places where we have lived and in different phases of my life. Lifelong friends are a blessing God gives to us.

  3. I am so glad you have found a great community of friends. I went to the midnight showing of New Moon and loved it! Work on Friday was a little tough, but so worth it. New Moon is definitely better than Twilight. Love ya!
