Harper's First Day

My Harper-girl started the 2 day a week 4 year old class today at our preschool.  My how she's grown over the last year.  Her little pink 'bay' is still in her arms.  I love that. 

It was a great first day for her--like I knew it would be for our oh-so-social child.  She walked in like she owned the place.  Her teacher is so very sweet.  I know it's going to be a great year for our sweet girl. 

We got up and out of here early.  Harper was so excited to go to her Ladybug class and see her friends.  She was pretty cute this morning.  I hated to see her go.  I have absolutely LOVED having her home everyday with Holton and I.  As much as we all miss Hudson while he is away at school, it has been nice to focus on Harper and give her my full attention.  It's a different dynamic having my baby girl as my 'oldest' during the day.  We have had fun.  It really did cross my mind to just pull her out and keep her home....my thoughts were 'hey, I can teach her!'  I know she has so much fun and loves being at 'school', so I'll give her 2 days a week.  HA!

I hope to get all of my errands done while Harper is at school on Wednesdays and Fridays.  I'd love to not have to drag the kids all over the place anymore---if I can avoid it.  I loved having the one-on-one time with Holton.  He just ran all over town with me.  He was so good....worn out too!!  Once we got home he was ready to be OUT of that car seat and play.  He gets plenty of attention when Hudson and Harper get home!

This little guy is on the GO!  I can't turn my head for a minute.  He's everywhere....and pretty cute while getting there.

I am so glad we are over the 'firsts' of school now.  Hudson is still doing fantastic.  I could not have dreamed of a better beginning of school.  We adore his teacher and his smile is as big as ever at the end of each day.  I am so very thankful!!  He already seems so much more grown up to me even after only these first few weeks.  I could not be more proud of my Kindergartner!
