Holton at 9 months

Sweet lover boy is 9 months OLD!  I can't believe he has been in our arms longer than he was in my tummy.  Hard to wrap my mind around.  He is very much the baby of the house---and the 4 of us sure treat him like that.  We all sit around with big eyes and huge grins oohing and aahing at every precious thing he does.  I am sure we can look pretty ridiculous at times, but my goodness, you can't help but squeal with delight with every new thing he does.

Those wii games are his favorite to knock over.  We say no no & we get this big grin.

THAT FACE...

We are all Holton's jungle-gym.  No one minds.  :)

This little guy is a mess.  He is into EV-REY-THING.  Not even kidding.  I don't know if it feels so much more crazy because he is #3 and my attention is all over the place, but seriously I cannot turn my head for a second.  He is on the go and he is stinkin fast!!  Thankfully I have 2 great helpers who have their Holton-radars on at all times.

Holton's 2 top teeth have made their grand appearance.  Boy were those some tough nights...days too.  Teething has not been easy with Holt.  Perhaps we'll have a break now that the front 4 are in???  We shall see.  We have moved to introducing Holton to more solid food.  He loves cheerios, bananas, cheese, and noodles.  He's a good eater.  He is now 90% on a bottle.  He has made the transition seem effortless once he decided he would take a bottle.  His favorite bottles are the Playtex drop-ins and Tommee Tippee bottles.  I have hung on to 1 feeding just because I want to...no other reason than I'm not quite ready to let it go.

Holton has started cruising the furniture over this last month.  It really is like once he masters one thing he moves quickly to the next milestone.  This past month Holton was on his first antibiotic.  He had been snotty off and on for several weeks so I took him in because almost 9 times out of 10 if my kids have been snotty for longer than a week, they get an ear infection.  Sure enough one of his little ears was beginning to fill up, so we got him on some meds before it became a full blown ear infection.

Holt has found his voice and he is LOUD!  He lets out this scream that I'm certain will shatter our windows.  It doesn't help that his brother and sister fall over laughing when he does it and then it turns into a game with Holton screaming.  H now puts several consonant vowel sounds together.  Ma, Da, Ba, Ga...  I'm working hard on his saying mama!  Ha!  Probably my favorite things right now are Holton waving bye-bye & clapping.  IT IS SO CUTE!!  His bye-bye is all  in his wrist.  That little hand just flops all over the place.  Ahhhhdorable!!  You would hear constant bye-byes and YAAAAYS over here just to get the waves & clapping from him.

Holton sleeps best in the car---what does that say about his life??  HA!  We still aren't on any schedule of sorts.  I just don't know how it would be possible.  Thankfully he's so easy going.

My favorite pic

As much as this little stinker can wear his mama flat OUT, I wouldn't trade it for anything.  I know I'll blink and it's his turn to be in Kindergarten like his big brother.  I am soaking every ounce of him UP.  Everyday he changes and learns something new.  I am so thankful I have this blog to document each passing month because it can all run together in my head.  I am so thankful for this growing, healthy boy.  He brings a joy to our lives that could never be described adequately in words.  Happy 9 months Holty-boy!

  3. I think you should definitely still make him sit in that chair when he is 18 and have on an '18' shirt :-)

Thank you for putting our precious Holton's "personality" into words and pictures. He is ALWAYS smiling!I could just look at him all the time...and I'm smiling! I do believe God allows our third child to be easy going...they have to be when you are on the go with the other two. Lala knew the car was her naptime!

We love you all and can't wait to be there in another week!!!
