Hayes' newborn pictures

I love newborn pictures, but we decided before Hayes was born that we would wait and get all 4 kids pictures taken after the first of the year.  I have a pretty decent camera, so I figured I could easily get a sweet picture of Hayes for his birth announcement.  I was on facebook one afternoon after Hayes was born and I saw a friend's pictures being posted from a new photographer here in SA.  I wrote her and after she told me her prices---I had to jump on it.  It was too good of a deal to pass up.  She is working on developing her portfolio here and needed more (boy) newborn pics, so it was a win win for both of us.  I let her take whatever pictures she needed with whatever props she wanted for her portfolio.  I know that props in pictures are really in---hats, ties, and things like that.  While it is cute, my personal style is simple and letting the baby be the 'star' of the photo, not a prop.  I especially love sweet close ups.  Here are the pictures she put on a disc for me to keep.  My very favorite is the first one I posted above.  It was the picture I used for his birth announcement.

I did not know I was in this picture when she took it.  I was not planning on having my picture taken that day---do you see what I am wearing???  I was doing good to even get a shower in that morning before she arrived.  Needless to say I was surprised when she posted this picture.  Hayes was crying and she said she was taking a picture of him in my hands.  While it is not my favorite picture of me, I still think you can definitely see a mother's love here.

Another favorite of mine.

Love the baby feet.

cute tie, just not my fav.

I think I would like this one more IF it were winter time OR if we lived in a town that actually had winter.  :)---still one cute, sweet baby in that picture tho!  :)

He is just so precious in all of them but the close up is "him". What a sweet blessing God has added to our family!
