The kids did exceptional. The little boys took great naps. Hudson and Harper took turns picking out movies to watch while taking breaks to read and play on their leap pads. Holton and Hayes started crying about 10 minutes from my mom's house. We could not have asked for a better 1st trip after having Hayes.
As we were driving into Tyler it started SNOWING. It was pretty magical and a big surprise. We were all so excited. A real white Christmas. Perfect.
As you can see from the pictures above, the kids had a blast (all of 15 minutes of fun--we can't handle the cold, y'all). If you ask me, snow is good for a few photos and that is IT. Matt and I discovered real quick that we are warm weather people. I don't think I could survive living somewhere where it snows often. Burrrr.....

My mother wraps the most gorgeous presents every year. One of my favorites about Christmas at her house. |
The next day my mom and I hit up all of my favorite shops in Tyler. Several children's stores as well as home decor places that I love. I love buying Christmas decorations that are marked down super cheap. I hit the jackpot with Christmas stuff....and clothes and shoes for Harper. Oh my did I have fun. :) We spent the rest of our time enjoying family time, wonderful meals, and letting my brother entertain.
Suepa meeting Hayes |
My beautiful grandmother came and spent time with us while we were at my moms. It was so good to see her and for her to meet Hayes. She was delightful as always and we enjoyed seeing her so much. She is my last living grandparent, so any time spent with her is special. I love seeing her with my kids too. Even though we only see her a few times a year, it always does my heart good to have a little Suepa time.
A good majority of these pictures were taken off my sister's phone. She is little ms document each and every moment. I love that about her and can count on her to take some good pics. It has gotten to where my hands are so full that I don't take near the pictures I used to.
One of my resolutions is to BE in more pictures. I'm so bad about being all about the kids that it often leaves Matt and myself out. I promise I was there--I have to start passing my camera off to someone else.
It was so good to be home. We moved into that house when I was in the 8th grade, so it's definitely home to me. It's always so wonderful being home with my siblings too. That was such an added Christmas bonus.
Next stop was off to Daddy Pops and Grammy's house!!
Great pictures and lots of fun...always go hand in hand and yes, you need to be in more pictures! I love Holty looking at your Mom while she is laughing...that boy, takes in everything. Sweet picture of Hayes and Suepa! We love you, mini & papa
