Mullins' Family Reunion

60 years of marriage!!

The Saturday before school started we had the best day!  We spent it in Stephenville with Matt's family on his dad's side.  We gathered together because Matt's grandparents celebrated 60 years of marriage.  What a beautiful thing and such an example they are to their family.  We have not all be together in 2 years so it was such a treat seeing everyone.  Plus the amount of babies have doubled.  :)  We got up early on Saturday and made it to Stephenville by 11.  We took family pictures, had lunch, then spent the afternoon by the pool.  The kids had a blast.  They played so hard and had such a great time.  I adore Matt's cousins and catching up with them---well, there just wasn't enough time.  Their families are beautiful and seeing all of their sweet babies was pure joy.

One HUGE blessing of our being together was having Matt's Aunt Cindy there with us.  She has had a very, very hard year with her health.  We are so happy and thankful for her progress and are continuing to pray for her health and recovery.  She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.  Witnessing Matt's grandparents and her husband Ted care for her so selflessly has been a true example of love, dedication, hope, and perseverance.  What a light they are to all of us.

We grabbed a quick bbq dinner and then we were heading home.  It was a super quick day, but filled with so much fun.  A BIG thank you to Ron and Marianne for hosting us.  I hope we get asked back.  A certain 2 year old boy 'marked his territory' in quite a few places around their backyard.  He's a mess and has no shame.  I have my work cut out for myself with this little man.

 The pictures of the little boys were taken less than 10 minutes after we drove off.  Everyone had a blast and were worn OUT!!  What a fun day with family!!
