WHAT A TRIP! I apologize for taking so long to write. We got back a week ago and immediately drove to pick up Hudson. We could hardly wait one more second to get him back. Once we had him we had a FULL day of playing to do, so jet lag has been rough for Matt and I. Hudson did not allow too much time for us to nap and get back to the central time zone! So last week I spent every free moment in my bed!!!

Our trip to Maui was AMAZING! I already am trying to figure out how long until we can go back. It is heaven on earth! Every view is post card perfect. We saw the sights, ate wonderful food, layed out A LOT, and just had a ball! The first day we were there we just enjoyed being on the beach ALL DAY! (laying in the sun on a beach is my idea of paradise). Tuesday we did the road to Hana. It was an ALL day long event, but worth it. We saw the most beautiful sights of Maui. BREATHTAKING!! Wednesday we got up at 1:30 AM and drove to the top of a volcano to watch the sun rise. It was FREEZING up there. Like 30 degrees. You can see in the picture below of Lauren and I that we were COLD! We were above the clouds watching the sun come up.....AMAZING! We could even see the other islands of Hawaii. THEN we road bikes down the volcano 27 MILES! (thats a tourist thing...not something we just dreamed up to do). Talk about an adventure. It was scary to me though. I enjoyed it, but was very glad once we made it back down. After we got back to the hotel it was only like 11 am and we had put in a 10 hour day! Thursday Matt and Curtis (matts daddy) took surfing lessons. I am proud to say that they both did great. Matt looked like a pro out there. We just sat on the beach while we watched them. It was very relaxing. Fri-Sun we did NOTHING during the day, but stay at the beach and lay out! LOVED IT! I just soaked up the sun and read my book. I read Francine Rivers book Redeeming Love. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! I LOVED IT!!!

The week seemed long and full of such FUN! I loved every minute being with Matt's family, and I loved every minute that I spent alone with Matt. We had a great time. Thursday night Matt and I went on a WONDERFUL date together. It was so romantic and just beautiful. A wonderful memory!

We called and checked on Hudson everyday sometimes more than once. Ok....several times a day. Since Hawaii is the US, using our cell phones was free. He did great and my family was in HEAVEN! They are already calling us to see when we are going out of town again. Not for a long while we say! It just puts my mind at ease that he is so happy to be with our family when we aren't there. They spoil him rotten, but that is ok with me! It's their job! I love how much he is loved. Tomorrow he will be 11 months old. I am in such denial that he will be a year old next month! I can't believe it. What a year! It's exciting to me to think about all the exciting things that God has in store for us next year!!

One fun fact about the Mullins is that we will be moving to Ft. Worth around late August/early September. Matt is starting a new job with Wells Fargo called Treasury Management. He will be working down town Ft. Worth. So we are excited about this new adventure for our family. We are starting the house hunt pretty soon, so that is super exciting to say the least. We were holding out to buy a house until we knew Matt would be in a permanent position, and thank goodness we did wait. We are so thrilled and excited! The pictures below are a few of my favorites.
