We woke up this morning to a blanket of snow. It was beautiful. We had no clue that it was even supposed to snow last night. Matt was getting ready for work when one of his co-workers called him to cancel a meeting this morning. Matt was curious to know why and the guy was like "umm have you looked outside?" So we were pleasantly surprised to have a snow day today! He only worked 2 hours today, so that made today even better!!! We love having Daddy home with us!!
I enjoy cold weather in short increments. Snow is pretty, but I would rather go actually visit a place that has snow rather then to have it here. I just like our Texas winters. The 50's is cold enough for me! I miss the sun shine. We were cooped up indoors all weekend long due to the ice that came, so I am sooooooooo ready for this cold weather to go away.
This weekend was fun, don't get me wrong, but we did get a little stir crazy. We cooked something warm and cozy for our meals. I baked a cake. We had several fires (which is probably my favorite thing about cold weather). We had a lot of indoor play time entertaining Hud. He has been a trooper since he loves the outdoors so much. We couldn't take depriving him any longer of the out doors. So today we bundled him up (like the little boy from A Christmas Story) and headed outside to play in the snow. Hudson kept saying "Wooooooooooo Snooooow." He LOVED it. Pretty weather or not he is just happy to be outside. He enjoyed eating the snow most of all. We put socks on his hands, and I am glad I did. He had a snowball in his hands most of the time we were outside. It was a fun time!
I hope that snow didn't have any yellow on it. Ah-ha, I make myself laugh. He is just a cutie.
ReplyDeleteThe difference in you and the rest of us is that you are still tan in the winter. You and that dark skin. I just envy it so.
I am beginning to get stir crazy too. I am ready for the pool and the sun. Bring it on!
