Yesterday I had my 18 week check up with my doctor. I was kind of bummed because with Hudson we found out what we were having the day after the super bowl. Well, since yesterday was the day after the super bowl I felt that it was time for us to know! :) So I was talking to my doctor and asked how soon until we could know the sex of our baby. She told me to go and see when they could fit us in....AND THEY FIT US IN TODAY!
IT'S A VERY HEALTHY GIRL!!!!! We are overjoyed and can hardly wait to meet her. Even though this whole pregnancy we felt like we were having a girl, I am still in shock. I can't believe it's true and that it really is a girl! We love her so much already and cannot wait until July!! I hope I know what to do with a girl!
The name we chose is very special to us. It was the name that Hudson would have been had he have been a girl. We knew when we were pregnant that we wanted our boy to be named after my grandfather who passed away 10 years ago, and we wanted our girl to be named after Matt's grandmother who passed away 5 years ago. So both names were very dear and special to us. Soooo drum roll please......In July we will be expecting the arrival of HARPER FAITH MULLINS!!!

Saying Congratulations is an understatement...words cannot express how excited we are to have another grandchild on the way! We are still in shock...to finally know that we are having a girl is so much fun. Now, we can start buying cute girl stuff.
ReplyDeleteI can remember two years ago when we were waiting to see if we were having a Hudson Paul or Harper Faith...and now we get to have both! I wish my mother were here to know that her name will live on through a great-granddaughter.
Hudson will make the best big brother. We are so proud of you and Matt, too! We love you all so very much and know the Lord will bless your growing family. You have made "Mini and Papa" proud!

Well to say that I have been on pins and needles all morning is an understatement. I took my phone with me to all of my meetings and even held it so I could feel the vibration. I have told you all along the way that I felt as though ya'll were having a baby girl, so when I answered and you said it's a girl....it was as though you were telling me something that I already knew. How wonderful and exciting to have the addition of Harper Faith to our growing family. I seem to remember when were finding out the sex of Hudson Paul that some of us felt like we would have our Harper Faith then, but instead we have our wonderful big boy and now big brother to his baby sister.

YIPPEE! A girl!! You will absolutely love it. You are like me and love the clothes and shoes and bows. I LOVE LOVE the name. My name for a girl (again) is Emerson Faith...After my other grandmother. I can't wait until Harper and Reese get to play...hopefully they will include the Hudman. Hudson will be a great big brother and Harper will always look up to him. He will be her hero.
