Highlights...

HI! Well, I know, I have been a slacker this week. It has been super fun, so I will just highlight the highlights.

  • Valentine's Day was special. Before Matt left for work he had for me a dozen roses along with a mother-to-be massage at this awesome spa. I am sooooooooo excited about that one. I got him 2 Polo sweaters and dress shirt. He looks like a stud! Every year that we have been married (actually ever since we were dating) we have gone on a romantic date. This year with no babysitter our romantic date included a very handsome, and oh so funny 19 month old. We went to this little family owned Italian restaurant for dinner. It was sweet having all 3 and 1/2 together for our Valentine's Day dinner.
  • Friday I met Tracey Shepherd and Hudson's buddy Todd at The Wiggly Playcenter in Frisco. We had a great time. Hudson was in Wiggle heaven. Actually, the place wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it was fun. It is pretty much a kids play center with the Wiggle's name on it. The characters are painted on the walls, their songs are playing in the background, and they have several flat screen TV's all over showing LIVE Wiggle concerts. Hudson LOVED playing on the slides, and driving the Big Red Car around. He also would sneak into the BIG kids jump houses and go crazy. I thought I would never get him out of there. I was surprised how fearless he was. He and Todd pretty much minded their own business, but it was cute watching them interact when they did. They are just a month apart. We were supposed to meet Kate Martin there as well, but unfortunately Jackson got sick. We'll have to do it again Kate, and I have some tips for us next time! :) Hudson's Valentine gifts came from The Wiggles shop. He got the new Wiggle DVD and a Wiggle hat that he would not put down. He loves both! He really likes the DVD case more because it has all 4 guys on it. Overall, it was very fun and I can't wait to take him back again. Tracey, it was so fun catching up with you. We'll have to make playdates more!!!
  • Friday night my mom and sister came in town for the weekend. It was GREAT! We really did not do a whole lot. We cooked every meal...or mom cooked. I felt like she brought home to us here in Ft. Worth. My house smelt sooo good. She fixed us our favorites and left us with PLENTY of leftovers. And what blew me away is Hudson HATES veggies, but he sure did eat every one his J made. My sister, Suzanna, was so fun to have here too. Hudson has never been able to say her name, so he calls her Nana. I love it. And he LOVES his Nana. Each morning he could not wait for her to wake up. He would go to the guestroom door and say "Nana....seeping?" or "Nana, wake up!!!" It was cute. We tried RH Saturday service last night. It was better than great. Last week was the kick off date, but Hudson was still down with his ear infection. So we were really bummed to miss it. We heard there were 1700 people there for the first Saturday night service. Incredible. We LOVED every second of this weekend! Thanks Mom and Nana for coming. Thanks for cooking Mom, and making our home even cozier. We miss yall already.
  • Today Matt gave me an hour break while he took Hudson to the park in our neighborhood. They had a great time. I was so glad that Hudson got to play outside. It has been WAY to long! I am LOVING this pretty weather. While they were gone I started the movie Nanny McPhee. I loved it! It is a really cute movie.
  • I am officially 1/2 way thru this pregnancy. It is going great, and I feel great. I do feel like I have a little acrobat in my stomach. She is doing flips...or at least that is what it feels like. Feeling the baby is one of the greatest joys of being pregnant.

Well, that is our highlights this week. It was a fun week filled with a lot of fun stuff. Here are a TON of pictures that document our great week!

HERE ARE THE PICTURES GOING IN REVERSE ORDER...SO START AT THE BOTTOM AND GO UP.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

All ready to go down!

Hudson and his backpack buddy "Buddy".

'J' singing to her baby.

Trying to help Mommy unload the groceries.

Being silly in the bath.

Not joking...he was asleep 5 minutes after we left The Wiggles.

Going down the slide was sooo fun.

Driving the Big Red Cars together.

In the Big Red Car.

Taking a break to watch a little Wiggles.

Riding the ducky.

"I am having sooo much fun!!!"

  4. Thanks for the pacifier advice. Today went really well actually...it took him about 45 minutes to fall asleep at nap time and no time at all for night time! I can't believe how easy it has been so far! (I guess I should knock on wood now...)

  7. So cute!!! Your mom looks so much like you with her new hairstyle. You guys could be twins. I may be in FW during Spring Break (2nd week in March). Will you be there? Thanks again for my layout help:)

  8. It looks like you guys had so much fun! I wish we could have gone, but now that you are a Wiggles Playcenter veteran, it will be fun the next time because you can make sure we hit on all the highlights! I so wanted to get Jackson a Wiggles present. Next time...

Is that backpack buddy the kind from Target that has a leash? If so, do you like it? I always wish I could let Jackson down in more places, but he isn't exactly a "stay by mommy's side" kind of kid.

Hudson is precious! I bet he is going to be the best big brother!
