B-day, Thanksmas, Houston, and much more!

Sooo much has been going on these last 2 weeks, so I am just going to hit the highlights!
  • The weekend before my birthday my dad and Shelley came to stay with us. It was a lot of fun, and a new tradition that started last year for us. Sunday we watched the Cowboys play while putting up all of our Christmas decorations. The house looks so cozy and just beautiful. I really could keep all of our decorations up all year...That's how much I love Christmas! After the Cowboys big win we went to Papadeaux for dinner. So good! We had a fun time celebrating my bday early, and the kids got a lot of Grammy and Daddy Pop's lovin' in. It was a such a great weekend.
  • Then Thursday we headed to Thanksmas in Wichita Falls. ALL of Matt's extended family on his moms side were in town. It was a lot of people but super fun. We had an excellent dinner with the famous Greenberg Turkey...it's from Tyler and growing up we ALWAYS have had one. It tasted like home. Everything was soo yummy. Later that day we had the Christmas part of the day. It was fun and Hudson and Harper got some great things. On Friday we went and saw Dan in Real Life. IT IS SOOO GOOD!!! One of my new favorite movies for sure. It is so cute and funny and you leave with that "feel good" feeling. It was great. Saturday we spent the day helping around the house because........
  • Karen and Curtis are MOVING TO NORMAN OKLAHOMA! Yup...you heard it first from me. :) We have known about this for months now, but we have not been able to say anything until everything was final. Matt's parents will be moving to OK in the Spring. He will still be a pulminologist there, but it will be such a great new set-up for him. He will work at the hospital for 2 weeks straight then have 2 weeks off. It is just going to be so wonderful for him. He works so hard right now and just hardly ever gets a day off, so Curtis will have such a better quality of life. They actually closed on their new house yesterday. It's on a small lake. If you know Matt's daddy, you know that he LOVES being near water. We are so happy about this new chapter in their life. We can't wait to go and visit!! Their Wichita Falls house went on the market today. Say a prayer that their house sells quick!
  • My birthday was last Sunday the 25th. It was so sweet just being here with Matt, Hudson, and Harper. I woke up to a million balloons on the den floor, happy bday banners, and hot coffee. It was such a special day. Hudson practiced and said, "happy birthday mommy" about a million times. He's just so sweet. We did not actually celebrate my bday until......
  • We went to Houston on Tuesday. Matt had a conference to attend at a hotel across the street from The Galleria, so Harper and I went along for the ride. Karen came late Monday night and kept Hudson for us while we were away until Thursday. We left Tuesday morning early and flew Southwest to Houston. Harper did so good on both flights. I was so relieved. So pretty much she and I shopped until we could shop no more both days. We were exhausted at the end of every day. She was such a trooper and smiled at every person who would stop to talk to her. It was so cute. Each night we were there we went out to dinner. First night was Cheesecake Factory....DELICIOUS! And Wednesday was El Tiempo. Both were so good. We ate way too much and I HAVE to get back on the diet ASAP! It was so fun being away for a little while. Each night at dinner Harper slept, so it felt like Matt and I were on a date. Could not have been any better. We were sooooooooooooo READY to come home on Thursday to our Hud. He and Mini had so much fun. She took him to the Zoo and Chuck E Cheese, and they ate at his favorite places everyday. They had a great time. Thank you so much for keeping him for us Karen!
  • Friday I got up early, loaded up the kids, and we were off to Bedford. My cousins Jason and Shelley are in Hawaii, so we went to have a play date with Walker and Arden. I had 4 kids all under the age of 4 for a total for 3 hours. Mind you Harper and Arden are a month apart. I was busy busy, but they were all so good. We had a good time, but NO I am in NO HURRY for number 3! I did get a lot of cute pictures while I was there.
  • AND NOW it's Saturday and Hudson is sick. He woke up from his nap with a 102 degree fever and his ear is bright red. Great! So we have to wait until Monday to go the dr. Matt is not feeling to hot either, so I am hoping the bug in our house stays away from Harper and I!

So that's about it. We have been super busy but having fun. I can't believe it is December now. This year has just come and gone, hasn't it? Harper will be 5 months old on Wednesday. Can you believe it??? Time is just flying by!!!

Here are a MILLION pictures from our last 2 weeks. There were so many to chose from, so I picked my favorites. Enjoy!!!

  1. Lots to comment on! First of all, Happy Birthday! I am glad you had a great one. I love Pappadeaux. It is definitely one of my very favorite restaurants!

Also, next time you are in Houston and Matt has to work all day, let me know because I could come meet you for lunch or something. We actually went to the Galleria just last night and ate at the Cheesecake Factory. It is only about an hour away from us.

All of your pictures are so cute! I love the video of Hudson singing. I have been trying to teach Jackson the ABC's, but he doesn't want anything to do with that. Maybe I will let him watch Hudson's video to motivate him!
