Oh boy has it ever been an eventful 24 hours. Hudson started running a fever late Saturday afternoon. Well with each passing minute it seems that he feels worse and worse. Last night I got Hudson and Harper all bathed and in their pjs. I fed Harper and put her down for the night then I went and held Hudson. That's one red flag because all he has wanted was to be held. So as I was holding him he turns his head to look at me and WAM vomit goes ALL over me. All down my shirt...EVERYWHERE. So I sit there and just let him throw up because obviously I can't do what my first reaction was....MOVE out of the way! Poor guy starts crying because it hurt. So I just held him while he thru up all over me then Matt comes in (who is sick himself) and gives Hudson another bath while I clean up. Once the bath was over Matt put him in his clean pjs and Hudson goes to his bed ON HIS OWN, pulls down the covers and gets in bed. That's a first ladies and gentleman. So that is when my night began. Harper woke up at 1, Hudson at 2, Harper at 4, and Hudson at 5. Luckily at 6 Matt went in and helped with Hudson because I was so tired. Poor Matt was feeling horrible himself. Today has been so bad. Hudson has felt awful running a fever all day. He has cried probably 90% of the day. Nothing makes him happy. He says he wants something then he cries because he doesn't want it...and so on. Harper has been miserable too with so much congestion, so she has been pretty fussy. It's been frustrating because I just could not make Hudson happy at all. He could not get comfortable while trying to rest, and he was so aggravated. So what did I do??? I went to the closet and pulled out Christmas gifts. I was ready to do anything to make him feel a little better. We got Hudson and Harper into the dr this afternoon. Hudson and Matt both have Strep Throat, and poor Harper has an upper respiratory infection. So my poor family is sick sick sick. Matt is off to get the antibiotics right now to make everyone better...I hope.
So say a prayer for me because I am exhausted and just want everyone healthy again. Pray that my children sleep tonight, and that these bugs stay away from me! I'll be in touch later in the week!

ReplyDeletePoor Allison (and the rest of the family)! There is nothing worse than a sick kid, except for maybe two sick kids and a sick husband. Hope you have a better night tonight and that you stay healthy! I would have pulled out Christmas presents, too.
ReplyDeleteOh, Allison...I am soo sorry to hear about all of the sick going around!! I know the exact feeling you had when Hudson threw up on you...it has happened a few times with Kennan too. You know there isn't much you can do and that is pretty frustrating. Hopefully the medicines will help and you won't get sick!
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing! I think you deserve a spa day for Christmas! I hope everyone recovers soon!
ReplyDeleteYUCK!! You are such a strong Mom. Honestly if my kids were to vomit on me I would be right there with them vomiting myself. I hate that everyone is sick. Reese had that URI last week. So, I did have the crying all the time not sleeping well week last week. She is just not getting better. I hope everyone get well.

ReplyDeleteEven though I haven't blogged about it, I can TOTALLY relate! Some or all of us have been sick almost constantly since we started school in September. I had strep over Thanksgiving, and, knock on wood, that's the last time a family member was sick. You are a great mommy!! I hope that your kids and hubby get well soon!!
