Where do I even start??

Going to Matt's Christmas party!
Merry Christmas!
I can't resist those eyes!
Angelic!
Oh, I love those 2 kids!
So much has been going on around here that I don't even know where to start.
First of all, I thought I would start this blog entry with pictures instead of ending with them.

Last week we had our pictures taken. I never like picture day because no matter what it is stressful. Trying to get 2 kids to cooperate together makes it even harder. I still have not gotten my "perfect picture" of the 2 of them together. Hudson lasts ummmm maybe 2 seconds with her...then he's off. I am happy with several of them individually though. I can't post my favorites because I am giving them as Christmas gifts, but I will give you a taste of a few cute ones!

Friday night was Matt's Christmas party at The Gaylord Texas. Both of Matt's sisters came for the weekend to keep the kids. THANK YALL SOO MUCH! I love having a house full of company. We enjoyed their visit so much and I know the kids did too! The Christmas party was really fun, and The Gaylord this time of year is just beautiful. If you haven't ever been....GO...it's so fun. His Christmas party was at The Riverwalk Cafe and it was a Murder Mystery Dinner. The food was excellent and the live murder mystery was really neat. However, because it was on Friday night and the traffic getting there was HORRIBLE, Matt and I missed the actual murder itself.....but I still guessed who did it. :) I really enjoy getting to be around the people Matt works with. They are all so nice and always fun to see. It was V E R Y suiting that the dinner was at The Riverwalk because.........

We are moving to San Antonio! I know, can you believe it? We knew it was coming for about a week or so now, but it became official at the dinner Friday night. Matt's boss stayed late and spoke with the 2 of us. It's going to be a wonderful opportunity for Matt's career with Wells Fargo, and it was something he just could not turn down. I am filled with so many mixed emotions, but overall I know this is what is best for him and our family. SOOO our house is going on the market January 1st. AHH! So scary. That is one thing I am sooo SAD about is my house. I know it is just a house, but I absolutely love every single nook and cranny of this house. It is so perfect, so homey, so US. I love that it has 4 big bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. I love that our guest have a cozy separate part of the house with their very own bathroom. I love my black and white checkered kitchen floor. I love our beautiful backyard and cozy porch. I love that this house is a burst of color. I love our gigantic front windows, and all of our beautiful HUGE trees. I love our friendly neighbors. I could just go on and on about everything here. Seriously, the first steps we took into this house we just KNEW it was our home. We never looked at another house after we saw this one. Even though I knew it would not happen, I told Matt that I could live here forever....and I know I could. I hope that a new family walks in our front door and falls in love with our house just like we did. It is a PERFECT home for a family with LOTS of kiddos!! I also hope that we find a house in San Antonio that we love just like this one. Our first house has set the bar high for our future house!!

We have grown to love it here in Fort Worth, but we are so confident that God has blessed us with this opportunity and new adventure. We both love San Antonio....just never considered it for a place to live. BUT...mark my words....I will be VERY disappointed if I hear of any of you coming to San Antonio and getting a hotel. We hope to have many visitors since San Antonio is such a fun place to visit.

So that's our news! It's so scary and so exciting at the same time. I think what I am most nervous about is moving to a place where I know no one, don't even know how to get around in the city, and that we are going to be SO FAR from our families. We have loved being just 2 hours from both sets of our parents...now it'll be 7 hrs from Matt's and 5 hrs from mine. So sad!

So pray for us as we tie up loose ends here, sell our home sweet home, find us a new home sweet home, and relocate to San Antonio.

OUR HOME SWEET HOME!!

I just thought I post our first Christmas card pic of Hudson wearing his hat!! Seriously, how cute are they????

I can be your frequent guest bedroom person, since I will be there so often babysitting for you and Matt to go on date night. :) You're only about an hour and a half from me. :) Move here already and the pics are precious...I can not wait to see what waits in the mail. :)

  9. Hi Allison! I was blog hopping and came across your blog from Leslie's. We all went to ACU at the same time. ANYWAY! We live in San Antonio and attend Oak Hills. We would love to show ya'll around town and offer up any info about best places to live, eat, ect around town. We may not "know" each other, but we are sisters in Christ...and fellowship is one great thing about the body of Christ. You can email me or comment on my blog so we can make some fun plans. Our kids are almost exactly the same age,so that should be a good time for them too! raenairizarry@yahoo.com

  13. I didnt read all the other comments but I am sure there are many people who are so sad to loose yall in that area. BUT i have to say that I am SUPER pumped. San Antonio is my home and we visit alot, so that means the kids may actually get to see each other and meet. SA is a great city with great shopping and it has always been a secret desire to go live there again. My mom and dad and sister and brother in law all live there so if you need any help picking an area, finding a realtor and just need advice my mom is wonderful and would be more than happy to help. We know some really sweet couples down there and I am sure you would love to meet some. Let me know if I can do anything to help. I am so jealous!!

  14. WOW, what a great new adventure for your family. I have been hoping that one of these day when I come to visit the Wolfes, I might get to see the Mullins, also. But it's OK because with bloging, I can see you guys everyday. Anyway, I pray that the transition is a smooth one. My sister lived in SA at one time, and we loved to visit there. Good times. Anyway, hope you have a very Merry Christmas

  20. I am excited for your move. Ya'll are going to do SO great. I never worry about you, you are just too amazing!! I have to say that my ALL-TIME favorite Christmas card was Hudson's first year one. I showed every person that card that year, even the people that don't even know ya'll. I cannot wait to see the one from this year though. Harper is BEAUTIFUL and I'm sure it will be my new favorite. :) Merry Christmas!!

  21. Some of our best friends, Jordan and Kelci Brock, are actually moving to San Antonio right around the first of the year. I will have to give you her contact info once you both are settled and maybe you can meet. She is pregnant with their first baby so you can do fun mom things together. I'm not sure exactly where in SA they will be living but I'll find out and let you know. Have a Merry Christmas and good luck with all the changes. Your kiddos are precious btw!!

    Allison--
I always enjoy reading your blog. You are a wonderful writer. I will be praying for your upcoming move. It is so hard to see you all and Karen and Curtis moving. I don't know what I will do without Karen here. But God knows best and will watch over and care for all of us. Congratulations to Matt for a wonderful compliment by his employer. I will look forward to seeing your blog and pictures of the kids. God bless your family in this new adventure. Merry Christmas!
