Happy 2008!!!

Time to hit the highlights of the past few weeks up until now! If I don't do it now I know I'll forget it all...it's already a blur! But first off...how great does my blog look??? Thanks Kelly for giving me the best looking blog out there! :)
  • We left for Tyler the 22nd for Christmas. It was WONDERFUL....well except for the kids getting sick. Mom made the house beautiful as always with all of her great decorations. The kids got more than they could possibly ever need. A few favorites are....Hudson got a Wiggles Big Red Car with all 4 Wiggles action figures from us, a guitar from J, a Tractor and Trailor set to ride on for outside from Daddy Pops and Grammy, and an easel. Little miss Harper got 2 baby dolls. One from us and the Madam Alexander Huggums doll from my mom. She also got a ton of clothes and shoes which are personally my favorite. I got Matt an IPOD....you may welcome us to the 2000's because we have been soo out of the loop with IPODS. He loves it. I also got him some Banana Republic boots that he looks like a stud in. :) He was a happy camper. Lastly I got....drum roll.... a beautiful ring. Quick recap...My great-grandfather gave my great-grandmother a beautiful diamond ring for one of their anniversaries. My grandmother has worn it for years. She recently gave me the loose diamond to make a ring out of. So Matt had me go after Thanksgiving and pick out a new setting for the diamond. So now on my right hand I wear a gorgeous diamond ring that has so much history behind it. I love it! Besides the children's illness, our Christmas in Tyler was just perfect!

  • Christmas day we left and went to Sulpher Springs to see all my family on my mom's side. We had a great time. Everyone was there so we had a photographer come and take our pictures. The Christmas meal was excellent and being with family was special. We left from there and headed straight home to get our house ready to go on the market on Friday.

  • New Years Eve we went to my cousin's Jason and Shelley's house. We had a fiesta. We always love being with them. We love their kids and love their company. We'll miss that when we are gone! But Shelley was the great hostess as always. We enjoyed great laughs as we rung in the New Year. It was a very low key, but very fun New Years.

  • Tuesday we got a call for our house to be shown. We had people look at our house on Saturday and actually give us an offer. We turned them down. So yesterday we left for the 2nd couple to take a look. We received an offer YESTERDAY and WE ACCEPTED IT!!! I still am in shock. I can't believe that in just 4 days we had 2 offers and we accepted one. We signed the contract today! I really just believe with all my heart that this move to San Antonio is meant to be for us. I drove to meet Mini and Lauren today to hand over Hud for a couple of days. They gladly offered to take him for us! Matt, Harper and I are flying to San Antonio tonight to house hunt this weekend. I hope we find something that we love as much as our house here in FW. So much is going on and we are beyond busy, but so far everything is falling into place for our move.

  • We close on the 15th of February. So that means we have 6 weeks to get ourselves lined up with another house. We still have that 10 day option period for these people to back out, but hopefully they won't! This is such an answered prayer.

We are sad to leave Fort Worth, but are growing very excited for this new chapter in our lives. I am so excited to see what is in store for us in 2008!

I leave you with tons of pictures!!! They are in order backwards....oops!

I have no clue what happened to ALL of those pictures. AHH! So much time wasted uploading. I'll have to try again later!

  11. How did you alter the color on your header photos? I am looking to make muted-color photos for my living room and can't quite find the right filter on Photoshop...
