Hello Again....

I hate being so out of the loop in the blog world, but I suppose I have an excuse or two...or three. This last month has been a whirl-wind. I don't feel like I have even come up for air.

So here's whats the latest...

The 14th Matt and I flew out to SA in hopes of FINALLY finding our house. After several trips there I narrowed down our search to exactly the area I wanted us to be in. (that helped so much). So after a lot of reasearch online here in FW I had a list of 10 houses that we wanted to see. So once we landed we were off on our house hunt. There was this one house that we fell in love with and were ready to put an offer on it. We decided we wanted to go back and look at it one more time before we put our offer in. SOOO our realtor calls and says that we need to schedule another apt time to return to the house. We were so excited.....BUT just a few hours before another offer had been put on the house by other people....and it was accepted. I thought I was going to burst into tears. We were sick about it and the clock was ticking for us to return back to the airport. SO we had seen ALL the houses that I wanted to see. We go back to the office and do ANOTHER house search. We found 4 that just came up on the market. THE VERY LAST HOUSE WE SAW....WAS IT! I walked in and LOVED IT. It is just perfect for us. It is plenty big with room to grow. Room for COMPANY....so please come see us. We spent less than 30 minutes there and RUSHED back to the office to write up our offer, put it in, and had 30 minutes to get BACK to the airport. AHH! It was nuts, but we did make our flight. The family accepted our offer and we move in IMMEDIATLY from here to there....so no in between homeless time. I am so excited about it because they are putting in new carpet and let me pick out paint colors for the bedrooms.....I LOVE THAT because that is one less thing I have to do! The great thing is that we love this house so much more than the one that we were going to put an offer on earlier in the day. I really feel like this house was supposed to be ours.

When we landed to Love Field, Matt had arranged for us to go on one of our "hot dates" as I like to call them. I had no idea, and of course, I was NOT dressed for the occasion. Matt's mom came in town to keep the kids for us while we were away for the day, and he asked her if she would mind if we went out. She didn't mind a bit, and we had such a good time. We went to Perry's Steak House off Mockingbird. If you have not been and you live in the Dallas area....GO on your next date. It is by far one of my favorites.....very romantic and the food is AHHH MAZING. And I was wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. Oh well, it was wonderful.

THEN, lets fast forwad to this week. Daddy Pops and Grammy came Sunday evening and spent the night so they could watch the kids for us while went BACK to San Antonio for the 4th time this month. Our alarm went off at 4 AM, we got ready and were out the door by 5. We were at the airport by 6 to board our plane at 6:40. It was a full day before noon even came. Matt went to Wells Fargo and met his new bankers and I went back to the house. I really do love it. The house was inspected at noon, I picked out paint colors, and we left for the airport at 3 to make the 4:00 flight back home. You really can beat Southwest. An hour flight is nothing, and their prices are soo good. It has taken me all week to recover from that early Monday morning. We are exhausted. And poor Matt has been working his booty off. He is having to finish up his stuff here with his FW job, train the person who is taking his FW position, work on finishing stuff up in Waco, get things moving on his position in San Antonio, work on ALL the crazy things that go into relocating our family there, finishing up stuff on the sell of our house here, get things ready for our house in SA, AND right now at this very minute he is taking a HUGE test that he has been studying for since July....thats right July. I have not even seen him this week. He has studied until midnight all week, and getting up at 5 to go and study for 3 hours before work starts at 8. I feel so confident that all his hard work will pay off and he'll pass that test. It's supposed to take 4 hours, so I am so ready to hear the news. To make matters worse, he spoke with a bunch of guys at his last business trip who have taken the test and they all had to take it several times. So to say Matt's pretty nervous would be an understatement!!! No matter what I am so proud of him for juggling all this....and he has been such an attentive husband and daddy even with this crazy schedule. He's just the greatest!! ***THIS JUST IN....HE PASSED!!!*** Way to go Matt! We love you and are so proud of you!!!!!

So 2 weeks from today we will be putting this chapter of our life here in Fort Worth to a close and head south on 35 to begin another chapter in wonderful place of San Antonio.

I have been pretty bad about taking pictures lately. This one is of the kids during a walk last week. Hudson found that old hat he wore swimming when he was a baby. He thought it might help keep him warm outside.....yeah right!
And here is my cutie pie big boy. I walked in our play room the other day and this is what I saw. I had to run and grab my camera. He looked too cute in those boots and Wiggles underwear. I am proud to say that my Hud is 110% potty trained. He is doing AWESOME, and I could not be prouder. He loves being a "big boy" and wearing BIG BOY underwear. He's only had 2 accidents too. I love only having 1 in diapers now!!!

FYI- in case you're wondering why you got an invitation to a baby shower for me in Austin, I went ahead and put you on the list since you'll be living closer to Austin than Dallas at that time!
