When I got home we loaded up the kids and did our weekly grocery shopping. Ever since college Matt and I have always grocery shopped together. We still do even now. Very rarely do we ever go alone to the store. While at the store Matt bought Hudson a soccer ball. So we quickly went home and unloaded the groceries, and left for the Soccer fields by our house. Matt even put on his soccer attire. If you don't already know, Matt played soccer growing up and some in college. It was his first love and still holds a very special place in his heart...you think I'm kidding. So Matt had a BLAST playing with Hud. I have to say that Hud is a natural. He really is. They had fun running around out there. Harp and I stayed on the side and cheered!
Sunday we went to church and came home for a quick lunch then headed to the pool before nap time. I really love our neighborhood and all the fun family stuff it offers here. We had a great time at the pool, and I really look forward to going a lot this summer. Oh, and while I was shopping Saturday, Matt very BRAVELY took the kids to the pool all by himself. Brave daddy!! They had fun, and Harper slept the entire time in her stroller.
Thursday can't come soon enough! Matts parents and sisters are coming! We are sooooo excited!! We are missing family!! So we have a BIG weekend planned ahead!!!

Matt looked like he was back in his element playing soccer with his mini me. I always loved watching him play. Too bad his knee went out he could of have gone pro :)

ReplyDeleteI had such a great time! You definitely need to come see me in Austin. I was a little sad that I am no longer Dia as well, I loved that nickname. Though it was pretty cute that he said he would call me Cara now, since he is a big boy. I think I cried a little when you told me that Hud cried when you came home without me. I miss him too (and Harper)!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it so much fun when friends come to visit?? I thought the same thing when I saw you at your cousin's in Atlanta. There's just something about being away when an old friend comes from far away to see you in your new element. Glad you girls had a fun day!!
