Our Mullins Weekend

We had such a great weekend. Matt's parents got here Thursday evening, and we were so excited. The 4 of us sat outside waiting for them to drive up. Hudson was thrilled to see Mini and Papa, and was a wild, excited entertainer for the evening. Papa put Hudson to bed, and Mini put Harper to bed. We all were excited to wake up and go to Sea World on Friday. The funny thing is that it was EXACTLY one year ago that we all came to San Antonio for a long weekend get-away. Hudson was almost 2 and I was monster prego waddling around everywhere. We did Sea World 2 days and the Riverwalk. Who knew that a year later they would be coming to our house here in San Antonio to visit us. Wow...a lot can happen in year!

Matt took Friday off, so we had the whole day to enjoy Sea World. We had a great time. It was a VERY hot weekend. Almost 100 degrees, but we did not mind. We were just prepared to sweat...And sweat we did!!! We saw our favorite shows....again, but we really can't get enough of Shamu and the ski show. Hudson actually met his hero Scott the skier. This guy is pretty amazing out on the water, and Hudson LOVES him. When we are home he pretends he is Scott. I'm not joking. So after the show we took him down there to meet THE Scott. Hudson was straight faced and very shy....we told Scott that he was "star-struck." We also went and saw the 3-D pirate movie. Hudson really liked it this year. We had a picnic lunch, and let Hudson go to the kiddie area. We left around 3, so we could go home and put the kids down. Melissa and Lauren got here around 4. We were so happy to have them here too! We all got ready and went to the Riverwalk for dinner. No matter what, the Riverwalk is always fun. It is such a fun environment. We ate great Mexican food and enjoyed walking around. We were all exhausted! We came home and got the kids to bed and watched Thursday night's Greys Anatomy since we all missed it. We stayed up too late talking, and finally went to bed.

Saturday morning we were all set and ready for Day 2 at Sea World. This day we really wanted to spend time at the water park area. We went to the Lil' Gators area for Hudson and Harper. Matt, Melissa, and I went and rode slides and did the Lazy River. Our time at the water park was cut short because Hudson started feeling bad. We think since it was so hot and he was running around that he got over heated. He just was so pitiful. We went and watched the show Viva with the Beluga Whales, dolphins, and divers. Afterwards we had our picnic lunch in the shaded area by the lake where the ski show is. We sort of watched the "behind the scenes" part of the show while we ate. Hudson and Lauren fed the big fish while we ate. We really just wanted Hudson to chill out, drink his Gatorade, and keep a cool rag on his neck. He wanted ice cream, and amazingly enough I think it cured him. Ice cream can cure anything. HA! We came home and hung out the rest of the afternoon, showered, then went to Fuddruckers for dinner....aka Papas favorite!

Yesterday was Mother's day. It was a great day. I got very sweet cards and enjoyed being with family. After church, the girls went to La Cantera to shop while the boys (and Harper) stayed at home. I could just spend an entire day at La Cantera....shopping or not. It's just the best place ever made! Last night Matt and I went to the movie and saw Made of Honor. It was cute. It was just fun to go see a movie. I loved being out alone with Matt. We snuck our Starbucks in and enjoyed our little date.

Today everyone left and we are regrouping. The kids are WORN OUT. Harper took a 3 hour nap today, and I had to actually go and wake Hudson up from his nap. They are some tired kiddos!

All in all we had a BLAST!! We loved every minute of their visit. It was a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!!! There were too many pictures to choose from, so I put ummm, 90% of them!!!
