Well, in approx. 2 hours DADDY WILL BE HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Matt left at 5 am Tuesday morning to fly out to Houston. So technically we have not seen him since Monday night. We are MISSING HIM BIG TIME!! This handling 2 kids under 3 by myself can be exhausting. I really did enjoy our alone time together. They were so good, and I tried to keep us busy each day. Tuesday we went to Target and Chick-fil-a. Yesterday we went to La Cantera and went to a few stores. Hudson played at the kids area and THEN he even got a kiddie marble slab ice cream-YUM. Good mama, huh?? The
BEST part of that day was when Hudson told me that he needed to go potty after he had been playing. About 30 minutes before we were in the Gap and he went then, so I really didn't see the "emergency" in getting to the potty asap. Luckily we were on the way to the car and I knew where the nearest potty stop was. Not kidding we were rounding the corner and the tee tee starts. We had a trail of urine that followed us into the bathroom. He had tee tee everywhere. All over the stroller, all down his legs, on my shoes, and not to mention his shorts and undies were soaked. This was probably his 2nd accident EVER Once he got this potty training thing down in January, it really has been a piece of cake. The craziest part about it was when we made it into the bathroom and I closed the door. Hudson got really upset and I was trying to calm him down. I did not have a change of clothes {lesson learned} because, like I said before, he just doesn't have accidents. WELL, as soon as we were in the bathroom he starts yelling, "don't stick me in the POTTY, Mommy." "Don't push me in there." WHAT??????????? Ok, first of all I/Matt have never stuck our child into the potty, much less pushed him in. I had no idea where that came from, and I was sooo embarrassed that he was yelling that...no SCREAMING that over and over. I just knew all the people in there were probably calling CPS on me. SO I wiped us off and got out of there fast. I'm not sure what those people were thinking. Once we got to the car, I stripped him and he rode home in the nude. I've had better mommy moments. Today was much better. We got up and the 3 of us had breakfast at McDonald's. Hud played with another little boy for about 30 minutes after breakfast. The little boy was 3 and his name was Aaron. Hudson would climb to the top and yell, "HEY! Little boy, where are you???" He kept calling him little boy over and over. I'd correct him and tell him that his name was Aaron. Luckily the grandmother there thought it was funny too. We later came home and went to the pool for an hour. It was sooo nice out there and we pretty much had the pool to ourselves. It was WONDERFUL. We then came home had lunch and the kids are now asleep. I have been busy doing ALL the laundry and sheets today. I have also been cooking for Matt, so he'll have plenty to eat next week while.....THE KIDS AND I ARE IN TYLER!
Tomorrow we are leaving for Stephenville for Matt's cousin Courtney's wedding weekend extravaganza. It's going to be wonderful to see all of Matt's extended family. I know we'll walk away with a MILLION pictures. It's going to be a blast. THEN, on Sunday Matt's parents are driving us to Ft. Worth to meet my mom, and the kids and I are off to Tyler for the week. Matt will join us on Thursday. I am sooo excited to go home. I have not seen ANY of my family since January. That's a first for me in my entire life to go so long without seeing them. The last time they saw Harper she couldn't even sit up, so what a shock to see her now. I get to meet my moms new BOYFRIEND too. Yes, that's right, my mom {who has been single now since I was 13} has someone serious in her life. I'm looking forward to it. Hope he passes my test...HA! John, if you are reading this-you had better watch out! :)
We are looking forward to the yummy home cooked meals, going out on the lake, and having a great time. So you won't hear from me for about 10 days. I'll be checkin' in on all of you though!!!
Here are some funny pictures of Hudson the other day. We were watching Dancing with the Stars, and Hudson started dancing with the big bunny. Then he decided to dance in costume. He LOVES to dress up in hi treasure box of costumes. They are: a cowboy, fireman, police man, & a pirate. So he put on his Fireman get-up then policeman hat. Matt thought he looked like a Chip-n-dales dancer. I thought he looked so cute!! These are probably pictures he'll be embarrassed of later, but oh well, I think it's cute!! Please excuse our mess in our zoo!!

Yeah, he can dance!!!
I think we may have a picture of Matt just like the one where Hud is in his undies and helmet. Ask Karen she will tell you.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait till I am brave enough to take the girls out shopping by myself. You are superwoman!!
Love you all!
Love the video and the "pee pee" story. Diane should be at the wedding this weekend. Be sure and say hi. And say hi to your family for me!
ReplyDeleteI think Hudson looks cute all dressed up! I also love the video of him dancing. Such a funny boy! The potty story definitely sounds embarrassing, but you have to admit it is kind of funny!
