Oh my sweet Huddy! He is such a funny little guy. He constantly makes me smile with the funny things that comes out of his mouth. It has been just the 3 of us for most of the week so we have had some SERIOUS quality time. Hudson right now is into asking a million questions about everything. He wants to know 'why' a lot. Yesterday when I told him we were going to the pumpkin patch he was really excited, but a few minutes passed and he came up and said, "mommy, what's a patch?" He knew his patch from his pirate costume but did not quite see how it was related to pumpkins. He's constantly thinking. His little brain wears me out.
Yesterday evening after their nap I took the kids to the gym so I could workout then we headed to Super Target to pick up some things for Hudson's class on Thursdays. The other day we got a catalog in the mail from Fisher Price. It had MILLIONS of toys that he LOVED looking at. So we have been talking about Santa and when he will come see us...Halloween is in October, Thanksgiving is in November, and THEN CHRISTMAS is in December!! We have gone over this and over this and over this. So Santa and Christmas has been a hot topic. Here's our conversation yesterday evening in the car.
H: Mommy where is Santa?
M: The Northpole.
H: What's he doing there?
M: Helping the elves make the toys, and getting ready for Christmas.
H: Does Santa wear pajamas?
M: Yes he does.
H: What do they look like?
M: I bet they are red and white.
H: Does his sleigh have a steering wheel?
M: No just reins that he uses to steer the reindeer.
H: What does Santas bed look like? I bet he has presents on his bed.
M: I bet he does!
H: Where does Santa put his boots at his Christmas house?
M: I think he puts them away in his closet.
H: What does Santa's tummy look like?
M: It's a big belly that wiggles when he laughs.
H: Why is it big?
M: Because Santa ate a whole lot of cookies.
H: Does Santa have nipples?
M: (staring out the window so he could not see me holding my laugh)....yes, Hud, Santa has nipples.
OK, where that question came from I have NO idea because we don't spend much time talking about nipples. Oh, he cracks me up!!!!

ReplyDeleteSo glad you are recording Hudson's conversations. What are we going to do that precious little boy...I just love him! Oh, the last time he was here he asked me if "Barbie" had nipples(like him)when he stripped her clothes off...I had to tell him that she was just plastic.
