This is my first time to participate in Kelly's Korner "Show us your life" weekly blog post, but have always thought they were fun ways to introduce others to your life! Last night I took the picture above. I think it perfectly shows 2 kids very much in love with their puppy dog.
We bought Ace 6 years ago this month. He was my birthday present from Matt. We bought Ace in a grocery store parking lot on a Saturday morning. I spotted Ace and fell in love. He was the only little white schnauzer in the litter. He was precious with his floppy ears. We love our Ace. He is a member of our family. He has been the best dog for our family. We were worried when we had Hudson if he would be jealous or even mean, but it was like Ace immediately knew how to treat our kids. He is very gentle with them and even protective. He plays hard with the kids, but knows his limits. Hudson will ask all the time if "he and Ace can go outside and play." Ace is their buddy. Ace makes the prayers every night when we pray. We don't know what we would do without our Ace.
I have a special love for him because he is my little 4-legged vacuum. His sits quietly while we eat then he goes to town getting everything that fell to the floor. I love it!
We love our dog and he is definitely family. And of course, I had to take a trip down memory lane and share as many pictures of Ace as possible!!!
Ace and grandaddy have an extra-special bond. They are good good buddies!

He goes everywhere with us. Always right in the middle of the kiddos.
Always a favorite. In Ft. Worth when it snowed. I have this one framed in Huddy's room.
This one is too precious too. I could say 'daddy's coming home' and both of them would dart to the window. It's sooo sweet!
OK...I'm going to get teary eyed over my first grand dog. He is so sweet and yes, he can always manage to find a place to sit, even when you think there is no more room. I was hoping to see his baby pictures at his first Thanksgiving at our house...so tiny and cute! Thank you for sharing our Ace...we love him! Even his Aunt Maggie is finally getting used to him...ha!

ReplyDeleteOh I loved these pictures!!! I got teary eyed too! I love to hear about your sweet Ace and how great he is with your kiddos since we now have one. It is just precious!I love our sweet Darla so much, definitely a member now of our family, a miniature schnauzer too!
ReplyDeleteI got teary-eyed too! I often worry about, when we have kids, how our dogs will react. Someone told me last week that they loved their dogs until they had a baby, and now they don't like their dogs at all. :( It made me so sad. I love the pictures of Ace and the kiddos and am so glad to hear how he is such an important part of the family!!
