Bluebonnets in the hill country

Yesterday we spent out on the Guadalupe River with our church to witness friends and many others get baptized. (There were over 200 baptisms yesterday!! Praise Jesus!!)!! It was a beautiful day yesterday, and we certainly enjoyed ourselves. We loaded up the kids, took a blanket, picnic lunch, and met our life group out on the river. It was so special because 2 of the kids in our life group made the most important decision of their life and were baptized. I tell you what, I don't know what I'll be like when my own children make that decision, but I was one teary-eyed mama. It was one of the dearest moments, and we were thrilled to be a part of it.

After we left we were headed home and found this big area of bluebonnets....so OF COURSE we had to stop. The wildflowers are just breath taking right now! Unfortunately Hudson and Harper were not at all dressed for a photo opp, had both missed their nap, & the sun was a bit bright, but I did get a few that turned out sweet.

This sweet one I love because it was not 'staged' by me!

  1. For not planning a stop...those are some GREAT pics! I don't know if you could have gotten much better...they are wonderful! Helps that you have super cute kids, ofcourse. ;) And I have to tell you, I am so much the same way. Weddings, Baptisms, and Births. I. Cry. Every. Single. Time. And yes, especially now that I am a momma. And the day my kiddos give their life to the Lord and are baptised, I am going to bawl like I baby, I already know it. :) What a neat day to spend as a family! Glad yall enjoyed it!

  2. Girl, your kids are just gorgeous! Is it just me, or is Hudson just a little mini-Matt? He looks more and more like his daddy. What a wonderful day of blessing, and the pics are great!

  4. I am so glad you got some bluebonnet pics. I was wanting to do that when I was there (forgot how beautiful and plentiful they are in SA)but it rained too much. Love the precious "back" picture, too.
