We are so excited to be expecting baby Mullins #3. We found out a little over a month ago, and it was so hard keeping it in for a few weeks. We told Hudson and Harper right before we left for Colorado. Hudson has been wanting a baby for a year or so now. He freely announced at Matt's cousins rehearsal dinner that 'mommy was having a baby', and that was over a year ago. He has told many people that 'when mommy has her baby...', and of course it leaves me explaining to people who don't want to ask, that no I was not pregnant. When we pray at night Hudson always asks God to 'please bless mommy with a baby.' Hudson's teacher even asked one of my friends if I was pregnant because Hudson talked about it so much....So needless to say we were THRILLED to finally get to tell our boy that YES!!! Mommy is having a baby!! Sweet Harper is so excited too. They are just going to eat up the role of 'bigger' brother and big sister. It'll put the kids at 5 1/2 and 3 1/2 when we are due in January. Perfect! (Notice it's not a JULY baby. HA!). I was beginning to wonder if the only month I could conceive was October. I had my first drs apt on Monday and everything looked wonderful, and we even got to hear the little nuggets heartbeat. Music to my ears. It came with tears and a lot of thankfulness!
How do I feel??? Not so good. I have to say I have never experienced any kind of baby related sickness until this little one. It is morning, noon, and night...complete with acid reflux (am I 80??)? And I have never felt so tired in all my life. I know this is just part of it, and even in the midst of it all...I am so thankful. I also know they MUST have changed the recipe for Goldfish because the smell alone makes me gag. I can't even sit beside the kids while they eat them. It's the strangest thing! Needless to say, we won't be having Goldfish for a while.
Thank you all so much for the sweetest comments EVER! I love my faithful blog readers! Thank you for sharing in our JOY! Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!
