Happy 3rd Birthday Harper!!!

Our precious baby girl turned 3 today!  I still am in shock over this one.  What a joy this little girl is.  I wish everyone could know someone so sweet that you just can't possibly ever get enough of.  She had the BEST birthday weekend.  We spent it in Tyler with my family and it was perfect. She had the exact birthday that she was wanting....A PINK Dinosaur party.  It was beyond adorable, and she was the light of the party.  (More on the birthday & 4th of July coming later this week).


We are so blessed to have this little girl in our lives.  I absolutely love being her mommy, and I'll never forget what it felt like to finally have her here after those 9-long-months...  I can remember rocking her during those first few weeks in the middle of the night and telling myself, "Allison soak every second up because you know how fast it goes."  I knew oh so well how fast it went already with Hudson.  I can honestly say that I have soaked it up.

At 3 years old Harper is quite the little firecracker.  :)  She is a girly tom boy...A sweet girl who loves dresses and bows, but is fearless and tough.  She LOVES animals....insects, reptiles, fish...and dinosaurs.  You name it, she is obsessed.  I love that she will rock her animals all day long (but not a baby doll).  She has the sweetest little spirit of anyone I know.  She loves to love on you, kiss you, and tell you that she loves you.  She loves her brother, and can definitely dish it back to him too.  They play well and fight well.  :)  And not to mention the love she has for her daddy.  Melt-your-heart-sweet!!!  One of my favorite things is if she sees something with words like on a T-shirt or magazine, we'll ask her what it says and she will say, "It's called "I love my mommy and daddy."  OH I LOVE IT!  We say, that is exactly what it says.  HA!


I still rock Harper every night before bed.  She lays in the crook of my arm just as she always has.  She is very much our baby girl.  I think the hardest part of being pregnant is that it makes her a big sister.  I am not sure if that make since, but she has been our baby for 3 years now and it almost breaks my heart to think she won't be the 'baby' anymore.  I know, without a doubt, that Ms. Harper-poo is going to be the best big sister there ever was.  She pats my tummy already, talks to our baby, and will say most every morning, "Mommy, is our baby STILL in there??"  It's going to be a long 9 months!  She insists it is a baby sister.  (Hud of course thinks BROTHER).


I tell Harper every night before bed how proud I am of her, how beautiful she is, how much we love and adore her, and how much Jesus loves her...she grins from ear to ear every time.


I am FOREVER thankful that God blessed us with Harper Faith Mullins 3 years ago.  She has brought such joy to everyone who knows her.  It has been so much fun celebrating our little animal lover this weekend.  She is one you could celebrate everyday!!

***  Harper at her 3 year old check-up measured 36 1/4 inches, and weighed 27 lbs.  (23% height, & 11% weight).  She grew 2.5 inches & gained 2 lbs in a year.   She is a happy and healthy little 3 year old girl!**
