From baby to BIG GIRL over night.

We made the BIG switch from nursery to BIG GIRL room this past weekend.  I have put it off and put it off and put it off.  I have really had a hard time with this one.  I bought Harper's big girl room things last fall.  I have slowly been collecting all the items and just putting it away in a closet.  Harper moved to our guest room.  We left the queen size bed in there for her to use, so we will still have a bed for company.  Hudson's bed has a trundle under it, so Harper will go in there when company comes.  The baby's room will be Harper's old room.  (oh I can't wait)!!

Karen or Mini is the MASTER PAINTER!  I mean top notch, better than a professional painter, so when she came last weekend we knew it would be THE WEEKEND to get started.  It was really fun watching it all come together.  I am so thankful to have married into such talent!  :)  I have to say Harper's new room is by far the CUTEST room in our house.  I just love how it turned out.  I have pictured it in my mind for some time now, but it surpassed what I hoped for.  She LOVES it, and has done great with the change.  (I mean she is 3!!)!!  She was more than ready to switch over, it was just mama dragging her heels.

The room is about 95% finished.  I want to put fresh white paint on the dresser and nightstand, and I have a few more things to buy at good ol' Hobby Lobby.  Gotta wait for it to go on the 50% off week tho!  Hopefully next week!!

This was just moments before we started taking all of her things off of her walls.  I had to snap a few more final pictures of my baby's nursery!

I have rocked that baby girl every single night.  Even now I will go and rock her in this room, and then carry her to her big girl bed....all she has to do is ask.  HA!  Hudson sometimes will still crawl up in my lap to rock in this chair.  Sweet, sweet memories of both babies in this chair...and what sweet memories to come.

I reused about 99% of her nursery decor.  I love how it looks in here.  This is also all of my furniture from when I was a little girl.  I love that she has it.

That's her pink dinosaur from her party...it's her favorite!  I still have baskets to buy for the book shelf, and have to put pictures in her frames.

  I still have to put a fresh coat of white paint on the dresser and end table.  I think Ace likes her room too!
