Summer was officially over on Monday. School started in the Mullins' house here on Monday. The kids are loving it. We missed the first 'real' week of school last week because of a TOTAL LAST MINUTE getaway. Matt and Hudson went BACK to Colorado with Matt's dad and grandaddy for the week. These four generations of Mullins men had a great week. I am going to have Matt guest blog about it because I think it is so neat that the 4 of them had this experience together, and no one better to write about it than him.
While the boys were away, Harper and I headed to Tyler for the week. We enjoyed ourselves so much. It is always so good to be home. I could not get enough of my Cam the Man and absolutely hogged him. He is just too precious for words and I am so confident that he loves me the most. :) I loved seeing all of my family and just vegging out for the week. I spent everyday with my sister and Camden which was such a treat. (Believe it or not I did not take ONE SINGLE picture from the week...except with my phone). You'll just have to take my word for it that we had a great time. I missed the boys
miserably. It was my first time with just one child and oh my goodness I felt like my heart was cut in half. I missed Matt, but oh my, did I ever miss Hudson. Such a strange feeling to have one child gone.
Harper and I picked up the boys at the airport in Dallas on Saturday because that night Matt and I had
FRONT ROW TICKETS to the
DAVE MATTHEWS BAND CONCERT!!! Yes,
FRONT ROW CENTER STAGE... All along we thought it was 2nd row...which was great, but when we got there it was FRONT! We were directly behind the pit, so there were people still in front of us. We were the actual first row of seats. It was AMAZING, and we had a BLAST. I mean really, Matt is just so much fun anyway, but after being away from each other for the week....it could not have been any better. We stayed in a hotel downtown while the kids were with family. It was so good to be together again. We had a BLAST. I have video and pictures that will be coming soon!!!
Here are a few pics from this week. The kids are just too precious for words. I love that they love going to school so much. Hudson goes to Pre K MWF, and Harper is in her 3 year old class on WF. It is going to be a great year for the both of them.
