Our sweet Holton

I love those sweet little hands tucked up under his chin.
We had our 3D/4D sonogram done the other day.  It was so neat.  It was my first one ever, so it was extra special.  It is so amazing to me to be able to see the sweet little face, hands, and feet.  He is the most active baby I have ever carried.  He is all over the place all the time.  Sometimes it feels like he is stretching, flipping, & pushing in every single direction.  I can feel him at the tip top of my stomach under my ribs all the way down to kicking my bladder.  I don't think I have ever felt kicks this hard in my life.  I am sure my ribs are bruised--not even joking.  :)

Look at those kissable cheeks and full lips.
I am ready to borrow Harper's Dorothy slippers and click my heels to January.  The anticipation is almost too much to handle.  Holton comes up daily in our conversations, and the kids are beyond excited.  Hudson says time and again how when Holton is born he does not want to let others hold him.  That he wants to be in charge of who can be there to visit us in the hospital.  --Good luck on that one buddy.  :)  I love that he loves him so much already and feels protective over him.
Harper has called Hudson "bubba or bub" since she could talk, and the other day she asked if her 'udder brodder' will be her bubba too.  Hudson overheard this and quickly told her no that Holton won't be her bubba.  I asked him why, and he said that bubba is his special brother name and he doesn't want to share it.  I never thought about Hudson liking her calling him that or that he felt it was his special name.  It was pretty sweet to me that he wanted to be her only bubba.  I assured him that Holton is going to have plenty of nicknames for us to pick from and that bubba is his.
Sucking on his arm.
While we were getting the sonogram done we could actually watch him moving around.  I loved seeing him move and then feel it at the same time.  Unbelievable!  This boy likes to suck on things: thumbs, arms, hands.  It was so sweet watching his little mouth open up wide and then stick his arm in it.  What was so neat about it was we could actually see his mouth sucking on his arm.  He may come out with all kinds of hickeys on those arms.  When we saw the pictures we could immediately see Hudson and Harper in him.  (Mainly just Harper to me)...I can't wait to see his sweet face for real.  I'm so ready to kiss those cheeks.  We feel so bonded to him already.  He is very much a part of this family.  Our 2 month count down has begun!  Come on January!!!

  3. I am amazed each time I look at Holton's precious face! We are so excited and ready for January to come. I am seeing Harper more and more in him, but see Hudson too. He is one lucky baby boy to have a big brother and sister who can't wait for him to come...all of us too! Love, Mini

  4. Look at that precious face!!! Casen kicked my bladder so hard one time, I wet my pants! Now ... it wasn't funny at first because I thought my water had just broken! But, once we found out what it was (after a visit to the hospital) ... we couldn't stop laughing. He was always all over the place!!

I love hearing what the other two are saying about baby Holton. I think he is looking like Harper also. From the sounds of how active he is, I have a feeling you are going to be glad you have all the extra help (Hud & Harp) to help you keep up with him once he is crawling/walking. We are so excited to meet our new baby boy. I am proud of you for taking good care of yourself and following the Doctors orders. Love you and see y'all soon. Shelley
