My 1/2 Marathon Man...

So my stud of a hub completed his very first 1/2 marathon this morning.  It was SO MUCH FUN watching him (and many friends) run the Rock and Roll Marathon this morning.  One of my fellow prego besties, Brianna, came with me to cheer on our peeps.  We had our starbucks in hand and got a great spot at mile marker 8.
this was from the parking garage.  we were listening to the count down to the runners.
Brianna made cutest hot pink sign that said "Find your Happy Pace".  We had so much fun cheering on the runners.  So inspiring!!  This was my first time to ever watch runners in a marathon.
THERE HE IS!!!
Seeing Matt come running up was the best part.  I was so proud of him and knew he was beating his goal time already.  He was smokin by in a hurry.
I was just happy that I finally saw him (30,000 runners...I was really scared I was going to miss him).  He was so cute and I was the crazy proud wife yelling for her man!
The best part was that he ran straight for me and gave me the sweatiest, sweetest, fastest kiss.  He makes me weak in the knees.

He finished under 1:45.....the best he has done yet.  I am sure this won't be the last of his new found running obsession.  I told him tho that if he chooses to run a FULL marathon, it had better be somewhere fantastic.  So we shall see!!!

  2. That is wonderful!!! Go Matt! He was so sweet to give you a kiss as he ran by! Ryan and his parents are planning for a marathon in May. I'm like you and told them it had better be somewhere good. They picked Monterey California, running the Big Sur Marathon. Hannah and I look forward to being their cheerleaders!
