Huddy's Tooth...

My BIG 5 1/2 year old (he is 5 1/2 on the 13th...that 1/2 is a BIG deal to the kids) lost his VERY FIRST TOOTH yesterday evening.  I still can't get over that I have a child old enough to be going to Kindergarten soon AND loosing teeth.  I feel like we are diving in to the world of having a big kid whether we are ready for it or not.

His tooth had been getting looser by the day, and his permanent tooth had already broken through behind it.  So last night I told him that I was going to pull it.  He was VERY hesitant about it.  I got a good grip on it and out it came.  There were tears because he saw blood, but after a few minutes those tears turned to a smile and a very excited little boy.  He even thanked me for pulling it shortly afterwards.  (The tooth next to it is loose too, so we'll see if he lets me pull it when it's ready).

This is Timmy Tooth.  I bought this pillow tooth last week for Hudson (perfect timing).  There is a pocket in the back for his tooth as well as the $ from the Tooth Fairy.

He looks so much bigger with that cute little gap in his mouth.  This morning when he woke up, he was so excited that the Tooth Fairy had come and brought him 2 dollars.  Last night there was a big thunderstorm that woke Hudson up.  He said this morning that he went under his covers because he did not want to peek and see if the Tooth Fairy had come yet (that is so cute to me).  He also said that he tried hard to go back to sleep so fast because he knew she would not come if he was still awake.  He's so funny.

My baby boy is growing up too fast!

He is such a big boy. I cannot wait to get some sweet sugar from him and his sister. He just looks too cute with that missing tooth. This is a great age. (of course all the ages are great, well most all the ages, I mean.)

  3. That last picture cracks me up!!! Love that face! He is a doll. And I hear ya...Jake will be 5 in March, and to me, that sounds SO big. And I know the teeth thing will be happening soon, too, but to be quite honest, I am not a lost-tooth person. Gives me the heebie jeebies. ;) Ha! CAN'T WAIT TILL HOLTON ARRIVES!!!
