Oh this little girl has us WRAPPED! She is the most adorable, kissin' girl, fiesty, energetic, spunky, GOOFY and plain HILARIOUS. This little girl is FULL of LIFE. I love my 3 year old little girl. It pains me to think that she'll be 4 in a little over 3 months. I feel like Matt and I are constantly saying to each other, "did you see that? did you hear what she just said? look at what Harper is doing..." I could go on and on. I really don't think there is a more perfect child to be smack dab in the middle of 2 brothers than Harper. God knew exactly what he was doing when he made this little girl. I love that she loves being the middle child. She owns her role in this family. She loves being the little sister, but LOOOVES being the big sister. She is good at both. She is the perfect combination of girly and rough and tough. She doesn't put up with much and can hold her own. Her big brown eyes get her Daddy all of the time. (I can look past them when she's in trouble--ha!)! He could discipline her much better if she wouldn't look at him. HA! She knows how to work the system of parenting. She runs everywhere she goes. Once she learned to walk- she ran. I love the little quirky things she says to us. She is so quick on her toes with her funny little comebacks.
My favorite Harper story right now was last week. Grammy's sister Vanessa came over to visit when we were at my Dad's. She was talking to Harper and said, "Harper what do you think about being the only girl? You have 2 brothers now and your baby boy cousin Camden. Are you just the princess in the middle of all of these boys?" Harper said to her, "no, I'm the Queen." Oh my goodness, it was SO hilarious to me because she did not miss a beat when she came back with her answer. It was too cute that she knew that Queen trumped Princess. I'm afraid she nailed it--She is our little Queen Harper.

love this. Emma Kate is the same here...she also has a boy cousin & about to have another...she knows she is the princess. :) never thought I would have 2 boys! isn't it fun! love your stories!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. She is a doll, and I loved hearing about her little personality. I am starting to see the "girl" personality come out a little more in JK...and so far, SOOOO much different that our boys! Ha! Oughta be fun... :)
