Matt and I had a WONDERFUL vacation in New York City. It was our first 'post baby' getaway and it was fantastic. It was so good to be off together and just enjoy each other. I have to say there is no one on this planet that I love being with more than Matthew Mullins. He is so much stinkin fun and makes visiting different places a total BLAST. We just enjoy being together. I cannot imagine spending life with anyone else. After each vacation away together I come back loving him more than ever. So very thankful for these breaks in our life to stop and getaway.
We made it to New York before noon on Saturday. We hit the ground running. We dropped our luggage off at our hotel. We stayed at 'one of NYC's first grand hotels', The Waldorf Astoria. Great location for everything we wanted to do, and a super comfy bed to crash into after long, jam-packed days.
The weather while we were there was gorgeous. Not too cold---all you needed was a light jacket. It was perfect Fall weather.
Our first stop BROOKLYN for lunch a the original Grimaldi's under the Brooklyn Bridge. There are 2 Grimaldi's in San Antonio. One is at the Quarry and one is at La Cantera. This pizza has changed our lives. HA---OK a bit dramatic, but we crave this pizza more than Mexican Food. If you know our mad love for TexMex, then you know this pizza has to be some kind of GOOD. The original in Brooklyn was quite the experience. It is a small dive that you might not even notice as you walk by. The LONG line outside definitely would make you stop and wonder what all the hype was. It was worth the wait and I'm proud to say the franchise locations have done a great job keeping their pizza just like the original. DELISH!
| Look at that line!---It was almost our turn! |

We spent the rest of the evening just walking around and visiting Times Square....WOW, Times Square on a Saturday night=MADNESS! Thankfully that was our only encounter with crazy crowds on our trip. We were exhausted after our 5 am wake up that morning so we headed back to be fully rested for our next big day. Our first day was great, but we were ready for more!

We loved reading about your first day and so glad you two got to spend some time together, especially since Matt hasn't been there before. Of course, keeping your 3 H's was the highlight of our week! Mini and Papa
