I have 2 little explorers in my house. They LOVE going exploring. Hudson and Harper pack their backpacks full of snacks, water, and a notebook (for Hud) to take good notes along the way. Matt loves taking the kids by our house. We live by Hudson's school and there is a huge area of land that they explore all over. They have so much fun. They come back filthy and exhausted. I think this kind of play is so good for kids, and I'm thankful they have such a sweet daddy that gladly takes them on big adventures in our backyard. Such sweet little memories for them all.

Last weekend Matt and 3 other dads from our life group went camping about 30 minutes from our house on the Guadalupe River. Oh how my children love camping (I had better learn to like it), and especially love camping with some of their best friends. They had a blast. The week leading up to it was a constant countdown. They had a big time. I think those sweet dads are the best. There were 4 dads and 9 kids. Again, such precious memories for all of them. I enjoyed my alone time with Holton. It was a perfect day for the 2 of us. What a rare treat it is to focus fully on one child. Here are the pictures Matt took while they were on their big camping adventure!!

I love these kids so much (and this is only 1/2 of our life group kids---2 dads did not make it). When we joined our life group all of these kids were babies---or at least they felt like it. They are so precious and such great kids. I could not dream of a better crew for my children to be friends with. I love their parents so much. What a blessing they are to us. San Antonio became home when we made these friends. |
