Holton's First Birthday: 1 of 3

Oh get ready blog readers for a PICTURE FULL week of this little sweetness.  We are in full par-TAY mode here in the Mullins household and it will go on until next weekend.  My baby is turning 1 on Thursday.  I cannot believe it.  Even now typing the words it brings tears to my eyes.  How fast this year has flown by.  We have had a blast over this last year, and I cannot wait to watch this next year unfold.

Matt's family came in town to celebrate Holton this past weekend.  We had a wonderful time as we always do.  I am so thankful that they took the time to come even for such a quick trip.  It was special to us.  We had a small family party for Holton on Saturday and it was perfect.

We went with a "sock monkey" themed birthday party and I thought it turned out so sweet and perfect for my little (almost) 1 year old.
Jefferson---such a sweet dog.

"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to"....

I love this sweet picture of Hudson with Holton.

We had lunch, then presents, then CAKE!  Hudson and Harper were dyyyyying for the cupcakes, and kept telling me that Holton "told" them it was time to have one now.  Hudson and Harper were really sweet and let Holton have the spotlight the entire time.

Holton got some wonderful toys.  He loves the "Let's Rock Elmo", cars and trucks, and balls.  Holton looooves balls.  Baseballs, soccer balls, footballs....any type of ball he is obsessed and shouts "Baaaaa".  It's pretty cute!

After the yummy cupcakes we gave Holton a bath and got him down for a nap.  Everyone took it easy for a few hours, some even took a nap too.  We all got ready later in the afternoon and drove to Gruene and had dinner at the Gristmill.  It was fantastic.  All the more reason to why we love living here.  We took pictures of Holton while we were there and we captured a few pretty precious ones!!  I am excited about sharing them on his actual birthday.

Worn out!!!  He took a good nap!

The boys hanging out outside reading---aren't they cute?

A sweet little moment this morning before everyone left.  Hudson loves chapter books, so Papa was reading to him out of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."  I love that.
