Playing catch up via my IPHONE.

I feel like I haven't written in FOREVER.  Life has continued on as it always does.  We are doing well and staying busy.  The best way for me to finally catch up on our life was to plug in my IPhone and download my pictures.  They tell your life story don't you think?  So here we go....

We had a full week of sickies in our house.  It was a tough week.  Just balancing keeping up with the non-sick ones (note the picture above) while taking care of the sick one---what a challenge.  No one wanted to eat at the same time so I felt like I was constantly making a meal, and then everyone rested at different times so trying to keep a quiet house was a challenge.  Matt was out of town some that week too.  There was a night when I planned on cleaning the down stairs after I got the kids to bed.  I came down & saw the mess of dishes and laundry....and what did I do???  I turned the lights off and closed my bedroom door to it all.  I was asleep before 9.  It was an exhausting week and come the weekend I was sooo stir crazy and ready for a break.  Thankfully everyone is well and Holty never got sick.
Proof that a sick 4 year old took over our bed.

I sent this picture to Matt while he was out of town.  Does that not rip your heart out???

These 2 have a sweet little bond.  Holty was just checking on his sick sissy.
Proof that Mommys never get a break.  HA!
We had a sweet Valentine's Day at our house.  Matt and I got a date, but ended up taking our sick girl with us.  It was a lot of fun.  Harper is such a fun little girl and having her all to ourselves was great.  She loved getting all dressed up and going on a 'hot date' with her parents.  It was a special night.

That is cotton candy with a sparkler in it.  :)
Valentine's morning I got up early and made pink cinnamon rolls.  I had the kid's little Valentines laid out.  They were so excited.
Huddy dressed all handsome for his Valentine's party.  He took his precious teacher a rose and chocolates.  All his idea.  Sweet thing looooves his teacher.

Valentine's day morning.  (Holty slept in).

Baby girl got a rose from her daddy as well as Lady and the Lady and the Tramp DVD.  We had a happy girl.

Matt took Harper on a special date to get a manicure.  Oh how she loved it and felt so special.  She picked out purple polish with glitter.

The next day I took my big boy to the movie.  He picked out Big Miracle.  It was really fun and a good movie.  We shared a popcorn and Hud got an icy.  We love any opportunity to have one on one time.

Sister all dressed up for Rodeo week.  How stinkin CUTE is this baby girl???

The beginning of February I snuck away with Matt to Miami.  We spent a total of 5 days away.  When he has a conference that is in a fun city I try 9 times out of 10 to get away with him and we like to add on a couple of 'personal' days for just the 2 of us.  It's such a treat.  We live for any chance we can get away alone together.  The way this trip looked in my mind 3 months ago was totally different than it panned out to be.  It was still good, but different.  I knew I was pregnant and was feeling really bad.  The nausea was awful and I was exhausted.  I really wasn't too much fun of a date.  We would go down to the beach and seriously the second I laid my head down I was OUT.  I could not stay awake for the life of me.  I also felt too sick to go out and do anything fun.  Again, not how I thought the trip would go several months ago.  However, it was very relaxing.  I slept (a lot) and went to the spa everyday.  One afternoon Matt enjoyed the spa with me.  I finished reading the Hunger Games trilogy while away.  The nicest perk of the week was we got to stay in the penthouse of our resort.  Yes, you read that right.  All on the company too.  Perhaps the kind lady who checked us in just took one look at me and thought, "that poor girl needs some serious r & r."  HA...it really was nice and we enjoyed such a beautiful room with a gorgeous view.  Even though the time away was different than I hoped, it was wonderful and so needed.  I'm thankful we were able to go.
They had these monster cucumbers on a bed of ice.  I grabbed a pair every time I walked by.  You have no idea how good they felt.

Matt's going to kill me for this one.  (I don't think he knows I posted it to FB while we were there).  HA!  Love this man so much and that he loves vegging out with his wife.  This was one good afternoon.

We did go out to South Beach for dinner.  This was a few minutes before I got SICK.  (ya, not worth the cab fare and price of dinner at all).  I felt so bad that I was such a no fun downer.  Matt was as sweet as ever and completely catering to my every need.  Greatest man I know.

And let me close with THE best worship service anyone could have asked for from today.  Mac Powell from Third Day led our worship today.  YES HE DID.  It wasn't even publicized at all which made it that much better.  It just so happened to be one of those Sunday mornings where we had our act together and were there super early.  We landed awesome seats and Matt and I absolutely LOVED every second of the service.  There were so many moments where I was on the brink of just crying my eyes out.  I just stopped and took it all in.  Yes, I snuck my phone out to snap a picture.  I just had to.  It was incredible.  Max also B-R-O-U-G-H-T it this morning.  I don't know who reads this, what you believe, or what you are going through...but today's message was for everyone.  (really this entire series is for everyone).  If you have time please click HERE and listen to week 8 of Max's series You'll get through this.  Trust me, you'll be blessed.  (I think it'll be posted on Tuesday).

I still have so much to write about and maybe I'll get around to it sooner than later.   Matt and I are participating in Lent this year.  I'll write more about it later, but so far it has been a very eye-opening experience.  I gave up Facebook and Matt has given up sweet stuff.  Both have had their challenges, but we've been blessed so far.

I also have an entire post about my growing baby boy.  He is taking steps like a wild child.  He's up to 8 consecutive steps now....he's doing so good.  He walks until he falls and then he'll crawl the rest of the way.  He's just growing and learning something new everyday.  What joy he brings us.

Pregnancy wise, boy oh boy, it's been tough.  I'm so exhausted and just don't feel good at all.  I bailed on a fun night with my girlfriends last night because I feel so bad.  They were out having fun and were sweet to text me.  Here was the picture text that I sent back to them to show them what I was doing....
...and I'm pretty sure I was asleep on the couch less than 30 minutes later.  I pray I feel better soon.  This has to be the hardest beginning to a pregnancy I have ever had.  All worth it, I know.  More blog updates coming soon!!
