I feel so behind---All of that blogging back in July made me want to keep my computer closed for a while. I have so much to catch up on and a million pictures to post...The day after Hudson's birthday party, Hudson and Harper went to Tyler for the week. They were so excited to go and have a week of spoiling with my side of the family. Matt and I had a good time with our 'only child' for a few days. We really enjoyed having Holton to ourselves and just soaked him up. He loved having our full attention. Having Hudson and Harper away made me so extra thankful for them because they are my BIG helpers with Holton. They do things without my ever having to ask them. They are the best big brother and sister & sure make my life easier.

My sister's father-in-law is a sheriff in Tyler....(which Hudson thinks is hands down the coolest thing ever), and they were under arrest for eating too much ice cream.

As you can see from the pictures, the kids had a blast. My sister did an amazing job of giving me a play by play of their every activity. They went out on the boat and tubed a lot---which was Hudson's favorite by far. He even tried skiing a few times---maybe next year will be the year. We are so proud of him for trying. The kids went to The Village's water park, swimming, the children's museum, ice cream dates, chuck e cheese...they had so much fun and didn't seem to have many dull moments. Hudson and Harper loved all the attention and seeing Nana (my sister Suzanna) and my nephew Camden.

Heading to Tyler!
Holty had fun being the star of the show. It's funny because just having Holton, Matt and I lived it up like we were kid free. We stayed up late cooking meals, went out, and just had a fun time. We had a great time. Our suburban looked very sad with only 1 car seat in it tho---come Thursday I was ready for my noisy house back.
Thursday morning we loaded up and headed to Tyler. Matt had a meeting in New Braunfels so Holty and I ran around for an hour or so while we waited on him. (I locked my keys and ACE in the car---don't get me started on that headache---lesson learned...keep OnStar activated). So after a few setbacks we FINALLY got on the road to Tyler and were there by dinner. Our little people were so happy to see us (and especially Holton). It was a fun reunion.

Holton was SO ready to get out of the car and play.
We had a nice long weekend in Tyler. We enjoyed seeing all of my family and hitting up our favorite restaurants and shops. We stayed and played until Sunday morning and then went on back home.

It was a great, long weekend and perfect ending to the kids super fun week in Tyler. I am HOPING that next summer I can partake in some lake fun. The first summer they lived there I was newly pregnant with Holton and the boat made me ill...last summer there was a bad drought and not enough water to get out...this summer, a beautiful full lake and here I am about to pop. Next summer I will show my kids that their mama can ski and wake board...They have to know I'm not all talk! HA!
Cute pics of cute kids...fun times! I always love seeing the sunsets at their place too!
