Hayes at 3 months

Ahhh I am SO SAD that I have turned into that once a month blogger.  Noooooo.  I'll get back to my weekly blogging.  That's always been my goal, and I hope to get back into my blogging routine.  I feel like I just wrote Hayes' 2 month blog entry and now here I am writing about my sweet 3 month old.

Look at those blue eyes.

This past month has been great.  I feel like we have rounded the corner and are adjusted to life as a family of 6.  Not in the 'survival mode' anymore.  :)  This past month has been so much fun with our little guy.  His sweet little personality is starting to come out, and we get some of the sweetest smiles you've ever seen as well as some giggles.  He is so alert and observant of the world around him.  We are crazy about this big guy.  He is such a beautiful baby (I know I'm biased, but really, he is).  I just sit and stare at his beautiful blue eyes, lips, perfect little nose, soft hair---oh and those sweet baby feet...can't get enough.

Hayes has had a few nights over the past month of sleeping thru the night.  What a blessing!  He was born a good sleeper, so I cannot complain one bit.  Once I nurse him in the early morning he will sleep until 9 or so.  It's like he knows he's #4 and a lot is going on from about 6:30-9, so he'd like to help us out and just sleep thru it.

My favorite part of the day with Hayes is from about 7:30-10 every night.  We get the big kids to bed and Matt and I cozy up on the couch to catch up on our dvr-ed shows...and we spend the last hours of our day just loving on our Hayesie.  Half the time we are pausing our show or having to rewind it because Hayes steals the show.  He coos and smiles and is so so sweet that we can't look at anything but him.  We eat that boy UP every single night.
Look at HIM---how could you not just sit and stare in those eyes.

I am so thankful for how much his big brothers and sister are sweet and crazy about him.  Holton loves his Hayes & is so kind and gentle with him.  Harper and Hudson are so great with the little boys.  All 3 love to hold Hayes.  My heart just swells with love and joy when I see the 4 of them together.

I was trying to get a picture of the 4 in their cute elf jommies---I wasn't too successful.  They were all distracted touching, looking, & messing with Hayes that we just had to call the picture taking quits.

I captured such a sweet moment here.

Harper loves to hold and read to Hayes.

I have so much to catch up on---Matt's family visit, Harp's Thanksgiving feast, Thanksgiving week at home with our family of 6, Harper lost her 2 front teeth, Egyptian Day in 1st grade---I'll get caught up soon.  It's a busy life here.  We don't slow down much and it's pretty wild at times, but I am so so thankful for how far we have come over the last 3 months.

  4. Sweet little Hayes is another GORGEOUS Mullins baby! Oh, those EYES! He is PRECIOUS!

I know I always tell you this, but I hope I can always enjoy my kids the way you enjoy yours. You encourage me so much. It's no surprise that the other kids are so loving and wonderful with Hayes. He is precious! Also, they have grown up being cherished, and they know how to love others because of that!
