Hayes at 8 months!

My little mighty man, tough guy is 8 months old today!  8 MONTHS!  3/4 through his first year.  Wow!  I can't believe it.  It really is amazing how much quicker life passes you by the older you get and the more children you add to your pack.

Sweet, mighty Hayes...what can I say, other than this boy has fierce determination.  You can see it in his eyes.  He knows what he wants and he doesn't let one thing get in his way.

Hayes is by far the smallest baby of our tribe.  To give an example at 8 months old he is wearing Holton's clothes that he wore at 3-4 months.  Hayes wears 6-12 month clothes and is true to size when shopping for him.  I don't think we realized what a chunky monkey Holton was so much then as we do looking back at him now.  Hayes takes after his daddy and the Cupps side of the family when it comes to his height.  He may not be off the charts in height, but he certainly is when it comes to being adorable. 

This past month he went from crawling to, pulling up, to cruising the furniture.  I really am so stressed out all of the time because I am scared to death he is going to get hurt.  Just last night he pulled up right beside me on the couch and LET GO and stood there just looking at me like, "what, you didn't know I had awesome balance too?"  The boy is going to give me a heart attack.  Last week I nursed him for the very last time.  He has made the transition to the bottle just great which is such a blessing.  I also moved Hayes from our room to my closet.  Best-thing-ever.  The sweet thing sleeps SO good in there.  Why I didn't do it sooner, I'll never know.  Hayes is now the best sleeper in our house.  He goes to bed between 8-9 and sleeps until at least 8.  BEAUTIFUL!  When we move to our new house in June the sweet boy will finally have his own room.  :)  I'd say it's time.  Hayes is the best eater.  There isn't a food he hasn't loved.  When eating he will moan with delight.  He eats 3 meals a day, and enjoys it down to the last bite.

This buys you a good 15 minutes to slap some make-up on, throw that hair in a pony, and get ready. 

  I couldn't love this sweet boy more if I tried.  He has me wrapped around that little pinkie of his so so tight.  We love our mighty man Hayes!
