I'm BACK!!

Oh it pains my heart that it has almost been 2 full months since I last had a blog entry.  To say that I've been busy or life has just flown by the last 2 months would be-the-UNDERSTATEMENT-of-the-year.  I used to take such pride in my weekly updates---poor blog....we have got to get reacquainted. 

Here is just a briefing of what's been going on on the Mullins home front:

• Harper graduated from preschool and her Ladybug class.  Hudson finished 1st grade.  (man, we're going waaay back).
• The end of May/early June Matt and I went to Boca Raton for a week.
• We closed on both of our houses and moved.
• Hudson, Harper, and Holton went to Tyler for 4 days while we moved.  What a blessing that was.
• Unpacking and getting settled (This really should be in all caps because I feel like that is all we have been doing).
• Hayes turned 9 AND 10 months (I know, I know--no blog entry. BUT I did get pics).
• Harper's 6th birthday
• Hudson, Harper, and Holton went to Norman and spent 6 days with Matt's family and their 2nd cousins from Mississippi & had a blast!  (Matt and I got a lot done around the house while they were away).
• Hudson's 8th birthday
• Family 3rd annual stay-cation at the JW Marriott.  One of my favorite family traditions we have.
• Matt and I just got back on Sunday in the wee hours of the morning from 9 days away to San Francisco, Sonoma, and Napa to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.  It was perfection in every possible way.  From the fun to the romance.
• My brother played at the Grand Ole Opry.  One of THE COOLEST experiences of.my.life.  (not exaggerating one bit).
• Holton is POTTY TRAINED.  Can I get an AMEN to 1 child in diapers?!?!
• Hudson is spending the week at T BAR M camp.  This is his second summer and he is loving life.

Needless to say I am at a loss of where to even start, and feel overwhelmed with all I need to share and write...So I guess I'll start chipping away at my list one entry at a time.  It's been a wonderful, and oh so fast summer.  I cannot believe we are almost to August.  I am thankful we have 4 weeks until school starts.  I am not ready.  I love having my kids home in the summer and always dread sending them back off.  I can't believe we'll have us a 2nd grader and Kindergartner---Oh man, can't go there quite yet.  We are so out of whack in any sort of routine around here.  I feel like we have been in survival mode all summer long each week just getting us to the next big thing.  Nothing has been like our old routine in our old house.  I've been buying the bare minimum of groceries to get us thru each week, shopping on these random days for food.  The kids have been going to bed at random times throughout the week not once consistent...yikes!  This is SO not like me.  BUT, I share all the chaos to say that we've sure had a blast tho!  I am now feeling the pressure to get us back on track with meals at night, bed time, and just getting our family back into the groove of everyday life and routine.

So here we go blog, I'm determined to get us all caught up soon!!!!
