Harper had her 1 month check-up on Monday. (They require a 1 month check-up here in FW for some reason). She weighed in at 10 lbs 10 oz (90%), and 21 and 1/2 inches long(75%). She is one growing girl. She got one shot too. I hate those stinkin' shots. And it only gets worse as the apts go on. Luckily Hudson does not go back for a check-up until he is 3, and no shots again until he is 4. I can handle that. Hudson is so sweet with Harper. He wants to see her the second he wakes up in the morning. He loves to hold her. I'll ask him to sing to her when she is crying and it's either the ABC's or Happy Birthday. It is so cute. We have to catch it on video.
Cara came to see us Mon and Tues. It was fun having her around. She and Hud played hard together. Thanks for coming to visit us Cara!!!!!
Harper (this week) has been sleeping 6 hours straight in the night. So this is just me getting up once with her. In the beginning it was every 2-3 hours, so this is a HUGE improvement. What is also nice is that she has the nursing thing down, so a feeding only last about 10 min per side. That beats our old 30-45 min feedings. In the beginning it is so overwhelming, but it does get so much easier.
Matt is going to Chicago for business Mon and Tues of next week, so my sister Suzanna or "Nana" as Hudson calls her is coming to stay a few days with us. I am super excited. It'll help the time pass while he is away.
THE COUNT-DOWN has BEGUN!!! 2 weeks until we see THE WIGGLES LIVE!!! We are so excited. I can hardly wait to see Hudson's face when they are actually there in person. He is going to either freeze up in awe, or be bouncing off the walls. It's going to be a blast. All 4 of us are going.
Well, that is about it for us. Here are some pictures from our weekend!
Sweet Harper too tired to watch all the excitement outside.
Hudson and his Grandaddy.
I love the car picture of the sleeping babies! You have such a precious family! :) I have to stop by next week, it is my last week. Even if it is only for a few minutes. Let me know what day is good.
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing you guys too!!! Dia misses her Hudman:( I need to make it up there again soon. If I did not tell you enough in person...Harper is gorgeous and you are an amazing mom that makes the idea of two kids seem easy:)
ReplyDeletesweet family. love it love it love it
ReplyDeleteHow about Friday? What time is best for you?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait! :)
I will have to show Seth this last picture of your kiddos in the car -- he will be so happy to see Hudson's cow carseat!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun weekend with family!
Sweet babies!! Isn't it so fun to dress a baby girl?? :)
ReplyDeleteI like the back seat pic- everyone looks cozy!
ReplyDeleteI love Harper's little outfit. She is so cute! Maybe we can meet up and shop for girl's clothes!! :) So fun! I definitely want to get together so the girls can meet.
ReplyDeleteHey Allison,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you stumbled across my blog. It is so great to hear from you and see that you are doing well. I have enjoyed browsing through your posts and catching up on life at the Mullins. Your new baby girl is beautiful and I loved the pictures of all four of you together...precious. Looks like you are adjusting to life with two kids close in age very well. I am looking forward to the end of Sept. beginning of Oct. to wrap myself in the same challenge. I am loving being a mom so much. Anyways, I will be checking in and keeping in touch. Again, it is wonderful to hear from you.
Love,
Kaylee
Your visit would never be a blah...but a wahoo:) The blah is because I had nothing to post about and I have to go back to school:(
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious family. I can't imagine life with 2!!! What is their age difference? Glad you found my blog. It will be fun to keep in touch.
ReplyDeleteThe one with everyone asleep is my favorite. You are such a pro! You are right, the early days of breastfeeding are tough. I am glad Harper is doing so well
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that Hudson rarely slept in the car! Jackson is an AMAZING sleeper all the way around, which is why I dread ever having another child. I am glad that Harper chooses to take full advantage of car trips by napping!
ReplyDeleteHarper is beautiful, by the way. I love pictures of sleeping babies! Her little dress is too cute.
We are also looking forward to the Wiggles concert (ours is on the 26th). Is it sad that Boone and I are more excited than Jackson?
