My name is Paige Allison. I have never gone by Paige. It's always been Allison. I am named after my mom's childhood friend Allyson. I have always wished my name was spelled with a 'y' in it rather than an 'i'. I think it is a prettier spelling, and I just like names with y's in them. If, when the time comes, baby number 3 is a girl she'll have Paige as her middle name. And if #3 is a boy, he'll have Matthew as his middle name. Yes, we have our 3rd child's name picked out. We actually had all 3 kids named when we were pregnant with Hudson. Oh, and while I am at it....number 3 (which, Lord willing, will be several years from now) will be a surprise. Meaning we won't find out what we are having. That excites me!- I have used the very same hairbrush since I was in high school. I think I was a Sophomore when I got it. It was in my stocking one year for Christmas. It used to be a darker blue, but over the years it has faded. Thank you Conaire for the great brush! I have also had the same toe ring since summer of '99. The girls in my family went to New York for our high school trip and I bought one on the street. It was considered trashy at the time to wear jewelery on your toes, but that never stopped me! I did switch feet one summer because I was stung by a bee on the toe I was wearing it on. My toe swelled up the size of a hot dog, therefore I had to put it on the other foot. I love it, and I'll wear it until it breaks, or I go back to NY and buy another one!
- I have colored my hair since I was 16 {thanks dad}. Not because I wanted to be cool, but because I have premature grey hair. My dad was almost totally grey by 30, so I am following right in his footsteps. My natural hair color is strawberry blond. Yeah, I went drastic at 16 and have never gone back to my natural color. Ok, totally kidding! My natural hair color is a very dark brown. I have colored it a darker brown almost black since I started over 10 years ago. I prefer it that way. I bet if I didn't color it, it would be about 70% grey. Not joking...my roots are more grey than brown. When Matt and I got married 5 years ago, I told him that since we were broke I would color my hair myself until we were more financially stable. {I was planning on perhaps a few months of doing this. Oh, and I had NEVER colored my hair myself. ALWAYS had it done professionally...so this was a HUGE sacrifice for me}. Well, last month was the FIRST time I had it professionally done since we married. It was a wonderful thing!! Man I am a good wife. HA! I secretly would LOVE to get a hot pink streak put in my hair. Or lime green, or purple. Not kidding.
- When I was a Sophomore in college I had the AMAZING opportunity to travel parts of Africa with one of my best friends from college, Ellen Reese. She grew up in Zimbabwe. Her family were missionaries there her entire life. We went during our Christmas break and were away for almost 5 weeks total. It was an adventure of a lifetime. We went to South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Egypt. I spent new years eve in Victoria Falls {one of the 7 wonders of the world}. I white water rafted the Zambezi River, aka the hardest river in the world. Went on countless safaris, and saw every possible African animal there is. Camped out in the African bush, scariest thing EVER. Saw the Pyramids and Sphinx...something I'll never forget. I was forever changed by that experience. To go to a 3rd world country, and to be immersed in the culture for that long changed me. Made me appreciate being an American and everything that in tells. It made me thankful for the little things that we take for granted. One wild experience that I had was we were driving in Victoria Falls and an actual ELEPHANT crossed the road. We had to slam on our breaks to let it cross. You know, I have seen deer, turtles, dogs, but never an ELEPHANT! It was nuts!!! I loved every minute of that experience.

- Matt and I never really "dated". He liked me our Sophmore year at ACU. I thought he was a "short, sweet guy". My actual words. I loved hanging out with him and loved being his friend. Sophmore year turned to Junior year. We always studied together and talked about everything under the sun. Little did I know that his pursuing me was just being my friend. We became the very best friends who kissed on occasion! HA! I always made it clear that I did not want a boyfriend. He never pressured, just was my best friend. He did pour his heart out to me once and told me how he felt about me. I was just scared, and felt too young. I still said I wanted to be "just friends." I was supposed to study abroad the spring semester of my Junior year. I went home for Thanksgiving break and missed him so bad, and KNEW that I loved him. In fact I told my mom that he was the guy I was going to marry. I broke the news to my family then that I was not going to Oxford anymore. I called Matt and told him that I was no longer going to Oxford. That I could hardly stand a week away from him, and I knew a semester would be impossible. There will ALWAYS be Europe, but mark my words blog friends there is only ONE Matt Mullins. Best decision of my life. So we went from "just friends" to head-over-hills madly in love, and never looked back. He promised me then that he'll take me to Europe one day. I'm still holding him to it!!! It'll be much better experiencing it with him anyway!! So that's our love story in a nutshell!!!
6. I am a coffee-a-holic. I LOVE coffee. Can't go a day without it. I have loved coffee since I was very young. My Papa and Nana used to have an afternoon coffee break and I always partook. No one made my coffee better than Papa did when I was young...and young means elementary school. I'm sure now it was mainly sugar and milk, but never-the-less I LOVED it. I'll never forget when Tyler got a Starbucks. It was at Barnes and Noble, and boy was that a beautiful thing. Starbucks has changed me!! HA! I love good coffee, and love a good coffee date. I was always the girl who had the super cool coffee mug and took it to school {high school and college}. Matt and I don't chinch-is that even a word?- when it comes to a good coffee maker, and good coffee. Dessert and coffee go hand-in-hand. Any date goes with coffee. I LOVE Saturday and Sunday mornings when I sit and drink coffee with Matt as the kids are playing. My favorite times with my Suepa {growing up and currently} is coffee in the morning. My ENTIRE family is coffee drinkers. Good conversation happens over coffee...PERIOD! Oh, and NO I won't let my kids have coffee until they are at LEAST 5. JUST Kidding...at least in high school!!

Ok...gross on the hairbrush...I think its time for a new one...you have the bonies feet I've ever seen!
