OH MY GOODNESS did we ever have a BLAST last night at The Wiggles concert. Our seats were AMAZING! It was so much fun being so close right in front of all the action. I actually got to shake hands with an actual WIGGLE. I know, call me crazy, but I was totally star struck! I love those 4 crazy Wiggles and Wags, Dorothy, Henry, and Captain! I told Matt before we die we HAVE to go to a "grown-up" concert and have amazing seats. It was the coolest thing ever being right up in the middle of all the action. My heart was pounding with excitement.
On the way there every 5 seconds Hudson was saying, "is that the Wiggle concert?", "where is it?", "when will I see it?". He was SO EXCITED. He kept saying that he was going to dance and be crazy. I was so excited for him to see it because I knew our seats were going to be great, and that he was going to go nuts....WRONG. The total opposite happened. So we get there, buy him a stuffed Wags, and find our seats. The concert starts and it was like a deer in the headlights look. In total awe. No expression, no movement, just shock...mouth even opened. He did stand in his chair and watch, but really he watched totally emotionless. Now I on the other hand busted out those moves and tried getting him to participate. We made a sign to hold up that said "Hudson loves the Wiggles", and they read it out loud and waved to him. He thought that was pretty neat. We also took a bone to give to Wags. We were all set! Towards the end of the show Hud and I busted up to The Wiggles "mosh pit" (ok not really, but that's what I call it), and we sang and I danced, Hud watched. Harper enjoyed it. She was captivated by all the lights, songs, and dancing. She had a great time, and was perfect.
I have 4 videos of the concert, and a million pictures. Yeah, we are totally singing along in the background along with all the other parents, so don't judge! I tell you what though, put a bunch of wild kids and their parents at a Wiggles concert and it just brings the kid out in everyone of you. There is no way an adult could go to one of these concerts and not be 'wiggling' by the end of it. You can't help but sing and dance. I'm so glad Matt will go and be all crazy and fun with me at these type of things with our kids. I just loved watching all the parents there singing, dancing, and being totally goofy! I LOVED it!!! The best part was when it was over during our drive home. Here Hud was silent watching the concert, and we leave and he does not pause one second talking about it. We had the radio off because hearing him talk about it was so cute. He has yet to stop talking about it. People have asked me before why we spend money on Sea World and these kid-type concerts when our kids are so young and probably won't remember it. I guess my answer is that we do it because it is fun, and we'll remember it forever. I love these special times when we do things with them being so young. We'll treasure these special memories forever! You only live once, right???
