HEY GUYS! This has been fun! I am going to stretch the contest thru the weekend since I will be shopping for YOU this weekend. Happy 3 years to all my blogging friends. When I started this blog 3 years ago I had no idea I'd still be doing it 3 yrs later....and I am so glad that I am. My goal is to have an entry a week just to recap what we are up to. Some weeks I do better than others, but that is my blogging goal! This morning I took some time to 'flashback' down memory lane. I feel like it was yesterday that I was that new mom of the sweetest 3 and 1/2 month old baby boy. Oh, how I had NO CLUE what I was doing. We were living in that tiny apartment in Plano having the time of our lives. I have said it before, but I am NOT a journal-er (is that a word). I want to be, but never end up doing it. Blogging has been such a great outlet for me to journal our little life on here. Life passes by so fast that I think it is good to just stop and write those little memories down that you want to hold on to!
SOOO this is a FIRST for me. I want to have a GIVEAWAY! Trust me, it will be GOOD, no it will be GREAT! You know how Oprah has "her favorite things"?? ReplyDeleteEven though I talk to you almost every day and "hear" what you, Matt, Hudson and Harper are doing, I enjoy "reading" your thoughts, too. You have always been an excellent story teller from the moment you "told your engagement story to your sister Koji's", I fell in love with your "gift of gab". Your exuberance for life just overflows. I'm glad that you are documenting your life together as a family now.
Of course, I love seeing the precious pictures that you post of Hudson and Harper...it makes the times that we can't see them, go by a little faster.
I am so proud of the wife, mother, and friend that you are. Your love for Christ is evident in everything you do. I thank God that you are a part of our family, making Matt happy and giving our grandchildren a very special life.

I have to admit that I have been impatient many times wanting to read and see more photos, I think you ought to think about an every other day update, or at least posting new pics. Really, I have been so impressed by your blog, your writing expertise and your heartfelt insights about being a wife and a mother. I have always known you are the best, the best wife, best mother but I am the only person that knows what a truly wonderful daughter you have always been. ReplyDeleteWell, it goes way back. I will never forget meeting you when we moved in to Nelson dorm our freshman year at ACU. I can't believe we have stayed in touch this long. You are a precious friend. I LOVE hearing about your kids, your family, and your life.
The Lord is a truly evident in your walk as a mom, a wife, and a Christian sister. You encourage me everytime I read a new post. You were that encourager for me through our whole process (IVF). I always knew I would have an encouraging word from sweet Allison. I am so glad we got see you for a few months in Fort Worth. It was a treat to see you at church. Thanks for being such a great friend and encourager and sharing Harper and Hudson with us.
