We have been LOVING this fallish weather. I guess you could say here it is fall in the mornings and the evenings and summer during the day. It's been enjoyable being outside during the late afternoon/evening. We are ALL still wearing our summer clothes. People have told me that in San Antonio the season rules don't really apply. So there has been no switching out our clothes. Not too sure when that will happen. Our neighborhood pool doesn't even close until Nov. 1st. So is that when summer is over here?? Not too sure how the seasons work around here!
My mom and John came for a super fast visit on Saturday. John has family in New Braunfels, so they spent Friday and part of Saturday with them and then came to see us. We had a great time having them here. I didn't realize how homesick I have been for my family. It's been since the first of June since I have seen everyone. Too long! They took us to dinner at this AMAZING new fish place near us. It's called Wild Fish. OH MY GOODNESS you seriously wanted to moan after every bite. It was so good and such a treat!!!
Matt and I left our camera battery charger in Cabo. Whoops! Sooo we have not been able to take a single picture since we have been home. I'm waiting on a new charger to get here any day now. Mom took several on her camera and we downloaded them on my computer before she left. Karen also sent me a disc from when they were here keeping the kids. Sooo I have a few pics to share!
We have been busy, but I guess you could say a good busy. We have FINALLY found our spot in church here too. We love love LOVE it. We have made friends and joined a small group. We love the families that are in it. I also attend a moms ladies class on Thursdays. It has been amazing and such a HUGE blessing to me. We know we are in the right place.
So here are the only pictures I have and none were taken by me. They are great tho!! Kitchen before and after will HOPEFULLY be up by the weekend. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

And I heard this is what he did most of the game. Run then plop on the ground. He's in his own little world on the soccer field. It's for kids 3-5. Hudson and this other little boy Will are the babies on the team and they stick out like a sore thumb! It's too funny watching them!!
You may never figure out the seasons in SA because they change every year. Some years we get true seasons and some years it stays summer pretty much year round. We have worn shorts for Christmas as often as we have worn sweaters. Some years we never light the fireplace and others we use it constantly. One year (2004, I think) it snowed here while we were in Fl at Disney World and we totally missed it!
ReplyDeletePretty much if you have heavy winter clothes you might as well get rid of them and make room in your closet for more moderate temperature clothing. Can't wait to see what you did with the kitchen, mine is in need of a makeover!
You have been busy! I love all the pictures, escpecially the soccer ones. I can't wait until Kennan plays next year!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures. Looks like Mini and Papa did a great job spoiling them while you were gone. That's what those grandbabies are for. We are looking so forward to our visit the end of the month. We have a lot of catching up to do. Love y'all! Take Care! Grammy & Daddy Pops
ReplyDeleteUhm, WHO ARE THOSE BIG KIDDOS?!?!?! Oh my goodness they are just too big! I can not get over Harper. WOW. Are you guys going to Homecoming? Call soon, we need to catch up.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I read this earlier this week but never had the chance to comment. I LOve Hudman's new haircut and all the soccer pics....little Matthew. Harper and that baby is too sweet!

Hey Allison! This is Jessica Kindberg (from Farmer's Branch). I found your blog through Kate Martin...her husband Boone is my first cousin! Crazy! Anyway, it is awesome to see how your kids have grown. Hard to believe. Also, love your kitchen.
