Our bedroom......it has been a work in progress pretty much ever since we married. We have not had a room or bedding where I just 'loved' it. Not anymore! We still aren't finished with it, but we are getting there. Oprah says your bedroom should be your 'sanctuary', and I agree. I finally have a love for our room! We have been working on it since Sept. Matt's mom painted it while we were away in Cabo. I bought the new apple green bedding in Oct, added the new 6 pictures over the bed in Dec, and we just added the drapes and lamps last week. Slowly but surely we'll get there. I'm still working on our bathroom too. It's funny, but I care more about the rest of the house being complete far more than our own bedroom.
Hands down the best part of our bedroom are the precious canvas' over our bed. They started out as 3 pictures of Hudson when we lived in FW, and I added 3 more once Harper came along. I wanted it a bit more 'dramatic' so we added 6 more. I love it. I plan on adding 6 more when our next little luv comes along.
So here's our work-in-progress. I'll share the final product when we get there.......

ReplyDeleteOur bedroom needs work..I have never really liked the color, but I am so intimidated by the high ceilings I am scared to paint. I think this is the year we will do it. Jay hates to paint, but he is ready for change YEAH!! He thinks we should go blue..since my fav designer David Bromstad said that it is a good relaxing bedroom color. I just wish I had a bigger house and didn't have my computer and toys in our bedroom. Maybe one day.

ReplyDeleteI JUST LOVE IT!!!!!!!! It is so simple and chic! You did a great job! I have to ask what color paint is on your walls? We were going for that same color on our entire house, but it ended up being much more blue than we expected! Yours looks perfect! It is your sanctuary!
ReplyDeleteWe are the same way...I would always decorate the rest of the house before our bedroom. Now we just started working on our bedroom a few weeks ago! I love all the canvas'. I think I might have to steal that idea. :) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything! We are refinishing our furniture as we speak...big job...but will be so cool when it is done. :) thanks for sharing your decorating ideas...love the curtains and lamps!
