| Holton Matthew--3 weeks old today |
Holy cow---I-AM-TIRED! I forgot...I'll just be honest with you, I
completely forgot what the 'mommy of a newborn' exhaustion felt like. There is nothing like it. I knew I'd be tired, but wow, there really isn't a way to describe it. Having 2 other 'big' kids does make a difference this go around. I just do not get to nap...period...out of the equation. And that really is ok. I do have energy to get thru each day (thank you, Lord), but come 9:00---I am about to flat fall over. Sweet boy is an EATER! He loves seeing his mama as many times as he possibly can each night. As much as I love that sweet face, this mama is ready to cut out a couple of our nightly dates. He is our last baby, so I really am soaking him up all day--even at night--because I know how fast it goes.
My goodness, we sure do love our baby boy. I absolutely adore him so much so my heart could burst. He is absolutely precious---even when he is fussing. I am afraid I am already spoiling him rotten. He loves to be held, and I love to hold him.
It's hard to believe he is 3 weeks old today. At his two week apt last week, Holton was up to 9lb 8oz. I told you he was an eater!! Matt and I couldn't believe it. He's just growing and filling out before our very eyes. The little socks he wore when we first brought him home would just fall off of him in seconds, and now they are leaving tight rings around his legs. :( I am so thankful for a healthy, growing baby. It's a joy to watch him change week after week.

| My feelings exactly, Holton. (love that sweet milky tongue). |
I can't get over the sweetness that comes from Hudson and Harper with Holton. They really do adore him. Harper is such a helper and is quick to shove that passy in Holton's mouth the moment he's crying. Hudson just rubs his hair and says all the time how much he loves his baby brother. He wants to share a room with him. (I'll remind him of that later). I could not be more proud of the big brother and big sister they are.
Last week the Mullins' fam came to visit us. It was their first time to meet Holton. We had a great time seeing everyone. Mini and Papa entertained the two big kids while I stayed behind with Holton. They enjoyed the beautiful weather and took the kids to the zoo, and one day they went to the movie. Matt and I even got away one evening for a date. It was much needed and so nice. Karen treated me to a much needed pedicure while Papa kept Holton. It was great!
The rest of the weekend we really just hung out here with the one exception of going out to a late lunch to Maggianos. Holton did great and slept through the entire meal. We definitely enjoyed having everyone here, and especially loved showing off our new little sweetness.

| Sweet boy has found his thumb several times. I wonder if we have a thumb sucker on our hands? |
 |
| First time for the aunties to meet Holton. I think this is such a sweet picture. |
 |
| Lissa and silly Harp. Our football busted and Harper made it into a hat. |
 |
| Uncle Tyson and Holton |
 |
| The bride to be with nephew #2. |
 |
| Our best attempt at a grandkid pic. (I actually think it's cute). |
 |
| Holton had had enough of the picture taking by now. |
|
| Harper was showing off her good manners. |
 |
| Little brother slept the entire meal. It was nice. |
very beautiful family!

ReplyDeleteAll your kids are so precious, girl. I just love them! It is hard to believe how fast Holton is growing! Is it just me, or does he look exactly like Matt in that first picture? It is wonderful to read that y'all are doing so well, and it is so encouraging to see how your kids all love each other. Your family is precious!
