Verses 2 and 3

I am still in full swing with my New Year's Resolution of joining Beth Moore memorizing 24 verses this year.  It has already blessed me so much.  I find the time I recite them the most is in the middle of the night when I am nursing Holton.  No better time than in the silence of the middle of the night to have a little quite time.

Here are my first 3 verses.  I am sorry I did not share my 2nd verse on the 15th.  I was busy bringing home a new baby from the hospital.  I do plan on sharing my verses each 1st and 15th throughout the rest of 2011.
  • Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:6-7
  • Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for you souls.  Matthew 11:28-29
  • So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary,    but what is unseen is eternal.  2 Corinthians 4:18
Like I said in my January 1st post, I am doing this with 5 other girlfriends.  We are in a rotation of who choose the verse each time.  It has been wonderful receiving the verses that were laid upon their hearts for us to memorize.  I always get excited to see what they choose.

I know this will be the best New Years Resolution yet...it already has and it's only Feb!

Hope you are doing great; I know Holton is so blessed to have such a sweet mommy loving on him all the time. Enjoy every moment, cause I am sure the time is flying by!!

      2. I love to see what verses you all are choosing to memorize. You are an inspiration to me. I think those middle of the night times are great for deep reflection, since you have to be awake anyway. May the Lord continue to bless your sweet family. We love you!
